🌾 Hey everyone! While you have been following the journey here at Synchronicity Farm, I’ve got some exciting news to share! At the youthful age of 51, I’ve spent the last few years studying and planning to launch my career in real estate. With a true passion for helping people achieve their dreams, I’m thrilled to have formally stepped into this role in 2024 and invite you along for the journey!

Did you ever get to try our Woodfired Pizza? …… those were the days…. And we miss it as much as you!!!

Every month we still crank up the woodfired oven and cook the very best pizza in the world (that only a few hundred people have been able to experience) it starts 2 days earlier when we mix up our secret dough recipe and keep it in the Coolroom’s to give the yeast time to eat up the sugars in the flour and develop its unique flavours we’ve come to love. There are so many subtleties that change the final product (only connoisseurs will know what I mean)…. Time, Flour, Yeast, Hydration, Ambiant Temperature, Salt Type, Mixing Time, Oven Style and more…… then there’s the ingredients and combining flavours.

One Day I will work out how to open our ‘On Farm Restaurant’ so I could keep cooking for the local community!!!

I love cooking pizza with a passion!!!

🌱 Community Food Localisation Engagement Model: Empowering Futures, Cultivating Change 🌾

For the past three years, Synchronicity Farm has been a proud partner with the Myanmar community in running the Community Food Localisation Engagement Model. This innovative project tackles the broken food system by creating replicable land management enterprises that offer commercial opportunities for young farmers, refugees, and disadvantaged communities.

The Challenge:
The current food system struggles with logistics, quality, nutritional value, wastage, climate change, and environmental impact. Consumers face limited access to high-quality, nutrient-dense, organic food. Arable land is underutilised, and farmers are often at the mercy of negative market forces.

Our Solution:
We have developed a distributive, replicable, regenerative land management model that addresses these issues and promotes environmental, community, and economic impact. Our approach includes:

Land Preparation & Infrastructure: Landholders prepare farming sites to support incoming farming communities.

Extensive Consultation: Engaging with farming communities to identify shared objectives and up-skill participants.

Farming Cooperative: Establishing legal structures for ongoing management and cohesion.

Commercial Relationships: Securing contracts, resources, and support for sustainable enterprise development.

Business Models: Planning pathways to profitability and breakeven.

Ongoing Support: Assisting the farming community with successful operations.

Open-Source IP: Sharing data and modelling to empower replication of the model.

CULTIVATION JOB - CONTRACTOR REQUEST
Hey Community, One of the farmers here at Synchronicity Farm is looking to hire a local contractor who can come and deep rip and then cultivate a small paddock ready for planting which is about 100m x 60m. It has been cultivated before but needs to be done for a new season of growth. The farmer is happy to pay for this service and they are hoping that someone could come and do it over the next week. 🌱🍅🥬 Exciting News! 🥕🌻🥦
Are you passionate about fresh, organic produce? Do you believe in supporting local farmers and refugee families building a new life here in Coffs Harbour? Then we've got something special to share with you!

Introducing Manrhing Family Agriculture, a labour of love by ThingSai and his incredible Myanmar family at Synchronicity Farm. After three years of dedication, they're sharing the fruits of their labour with the community!

This farming project was created to support refugee families coming to Coffs Harbour with all the skills to farm but requiring support in a farming arrangement that provides them with everything they need to be successful in their own venture.

The opportunity for people to access this food is weekly, whereby depending on the size of your family, you can choose from a $30 box or a $50 box.

While the farmers cannot manage customisation of orders, inside the box every week, you will find a selection of the freshest and most perfect foods that they are growing on the farm harvested each Saturday.

So that you can get a visual idea of what was in this weekend’s $30 box, it contained the items you can see in the photos which included;

1. Spring onion
2. Garlic Onion Chives
3. Coriander
4. Choy sum
5. Green Beans 250 gm
6. Red Radish Bunch
7. Broccoli
8. Pumpkin
9. Baby Ginger
10. Bok Choy
11. Spinach
12. Pak Choy
13. Silver beet

The freshness of life-giving food harvested on the same day you collect it cannot be underestimated (Truly fresh, living food, stored properly, actually lasts so there is no wastage)

ThingSai and his family prepare these food boxes every Saturday morning for collection from the farm between 10am and 4pm.

While their farming project is always growing and evolving, they have limited supply and as they are so passionate about providing value to their customers and they are also in the early stages of learning how to manage production horticulture, they need to manage client expectations by growing their customer base slowly and carefully by connecting to customers who are equally passionate about becoming a weekly connected family and consistently supporting them.
