Purchased as a pregnant heifer in the 2nd Avonlea Celebration sale.

⁕Jagger GP82 developing into a very nice young cow, due with her second calf in July. Her first daughter is sired by A2P2.

⁕Ambrose due to sexed Mega-P in July. Ambrose Ritzy is one of our most promising heifers, so well balanced.

Yesterday was the greatest day for our prefix 'Melaleuca Holsteins' to date.

To have three milking cows back on the coloured shavings for Intermediate Champion at International Dairy Week was an incredible thrill.

* 1st place Snr 3 year old Melaleuca Arrow Lautella (exhibited by Avalon Holsteins & Clydevale Holsteins)

Congratulations to the Modra & Dee Families with Lautella winning Intermediate Holstein & Reserve Intermediate All Breeds Champion!!

Other highlights were seeing recently sold cows Melaleuca American Rosebloem 4th place Snr 3 year old & Melaleuca Bullseye Lautelma-P out in the ring for their new owners.
Laura Poole winning Reserve in the 9 month old All Australian photo comp with Melaleuca Imagine Dharma on Sunday.

Our recent OFC State winning 5 year old Avonlea Performance Ritzy placed 8th in her class.

On Friday Janelle and I attended the Semex-Holstein Australia On-Farm Competition awards held in Melton, where the top 5 Holsteins in the State for five different age groups were announced from a total of 1088 entries.

Melaleuca Holsteins first time placing in the comp was a 3 year old Melaleuca Arrow Lautella VG87 on her second lactation coming 3rd in her class. Lautella is a cow that we had recently sold to Clydevale Holsteins & Avalon Holsteins after the NW farm walk tour.
Since being sold Lautella has been IVF'd to Hinge and been entered to attend International Dairy Week in January. Congratulations and all the best with her!!

Avonlea Performance Ritzy VG89 3rd lactation, is a cow that we purchased as a pregnant heifer from the Avonlea dispersal sales. Ritzy recentley tested doing 53lt a day and has daughters by Jagger, Ambrose RC* & Avz Hanley.
Ritzy is currently at Cherrylock Cattle Co. where she will be IVF'd and recieve professional care in the lead up to IDW.
