FOUR DAYS. 🤯

Warilla Perfection came straight out of the paddock on Tuesday and had a halter put on for the very first time that afternoon.

Fast forward just four days… and this is what she looks like. 👏

Walking quietly alongside Ella, taking everything in her stride like she’s been doing it far longer than a few days.

You can do all the training in the world, but you can’t manufacture a temperament like this. Perfection has been an absolute credit to the Weeks family.

She might be the odd Charolais out amongst our Greys, but she’s fitting into the team pretty nicely. 🤍

Warilla Perfection took her halter training out of the yards today 🤍✨

And safe to say, she took it all in her stride! No carry on, no fuss — just quietly getting on with the job.

Ella was even able to take the lead for a walk… and of course sneak in a couple of kisses along the way. 🥰

Another little step forward for this gorgeous girl as we work towards Melbourne Royal. 💜

Six Floodway Pass Murray Greys, loaded up and headed off to their next chapter. 🖤🤍

These six are on their way to Atriem Murray Greys where they’ll join their grass-fed program.

There’s always something pretty satisfying about seeing cattle you’ve bred and raised head off to do exactly what Murray Greys do so well — turn grass into quality beef. 🌱🐂

Straight home from camp… and apparently there was only one place Ella wanted to be. 😂🤍

Down to the yards to check in on our newest temporary team member, Warilla Perfection.

A good brush, a little getting-to-know-you time and, of course, dinner. 👌🏽

Judging by tonight, I think Ella is pretty happy about having a Charolais amongst the Greys for a few weeks! 😂

A little late addition to the Melbourne crew arrived tonight… but this time, she’s not one of ours! 🤍

This gorgeous Charolais heifer from Warilla Charolais has joined us for the next 6 weeks while we complete her halter training and get her show-ring ready for the Weeks family ahead of Melbourne Royal. 🏆

She’ll be learning the ropes, getting the miles into those legs and, come Melbourne, she’ll line up alongside our team of Greys. 💜🩶

We’re pretty excited to see what we can do with this girl and bring you along for the ride.

SWAN HILL SHOW 💜

A great day out for the Floodway Pass crew at Swan Hill!

🥈 Ella & Floodway Pass Ruthy Bug 2nd placed 2nd in the Junior Handlers 8–15 years — another fantastic effort from these two and a credit to the work they’ve been putting in at home.

🥇 Floodway Pass Ruthy Bug & Black Magic took out 1st place in their class, earning themselves a spot in the Senior Championship lineup. Very proud of this cow and calf pair! 🖤

And then there was little Tilly Bug…

At just 7 months old, she was always going to be giving away plenty of age and size in her class, but she handled herself like an absolute star. Even better, she headed back into the ring for the handlers class with young Jack, who was having his very first go at handling.

Swan Hill, you were a good one! 💜

Golden hour with these two 💜

Ruthy Bug 2nd and Ella are putting the final touches in before heading to Swan Hill Show this weekend.

They’ll team up in the Under 15 Handlers, with Ruthy also stepping out in two cattle classes — building experience, confidence, and continuing their journey toward Melbourne 👀

Plenty of behind-the-scenes work has gone into this, and Ruthy is really coming along.

💥 Great bulls don’t happen by accident. They start with great cows. 💥

Jomal Glen Joyce N24 is one hell of a cow. 🖤and is the dam of our herd sire Jomal Glen Voltaire — and looking at her, it’s not hard to see where he gets his power, muscle, length and overall presence from.
Powerful, deep-bodied and with tremendous length, a strong topline and the kind of maternal presence that demands a second look.

We’ve loved watching Voltaire develop, but there’s something pretty special about looking back at the female behind him and seeing those same qualities stamped through.

The strength of a breeding program starts with its females — and Joyce N24 certainly sets the bar high. 🔥
