Winter flowers. The last of the roses. I love how long they last at this time of year. Varieties pictured here Heritage rose, Valencia, Heaven on Earth, Shirley’s rose and Sally Holmes.

And the first Icland poppy popped open today. Seems very early but I think because it has been such a warm Autumn.

And finally a little story in the latest about my little cut flower and photography business.

May! The month of chrysanthemums and beautiful soft Autumn light. It’s taken quite a few years of trying different varieties of chrysanthemums but seatons j’adore is my fave at the moment and flowered this week in time for Mother’s Day orders.

My photographs are all framed up and ready to hang! The nerves are really kicking in now! Opening night is Thursday night at 6.30pm in the Palmer Pop Up, Tourist Hotel, Narrabri

This first series focuses on dahlia flowers that have opened in my garden over the Summer months.

All the photographs have been printed onto 100% cotton fine art paper and are framed in an oak frame with non reflective glass.

Deb, Pip and I would love to see you there if you can make it. If not, we will be popped up for 3 weeks so come and say hi.

Dahlia Caramel Rose.

Summer dahlias. Varieties pictured here include winkie cinnamon, winkie truffle, cafe au lait, caramel rose, florelie oracle, formby quest. All these varieties have grown well during a hot January and are holding their centers.

Planning to give all the dahlia plants a scoop of neutrog sudden impact and a fresh mulch of lucerne to give them a boost and get through to Autumn.
