We had the pleasure of hosting Jill and Neil O’Grady from Truffle Hunts | Farmstay | Events | Equitation showcasing their incredible truffles from their truffiére in Oberon at our ‘Meet the Producer’ dinner. They are Alpine Truffle Specialists, and we were lucky enough to experience the rare Spring White Truffle. The four course dinner curated by our Head Chef, Tristan Abbott, demonstrated how this elusive delicacy can be enjoyed by tapping into his years of experience cooking with truffles in France. Whilst the truffle season is nearly over for this year, make sure you put a truffle hunt at RedGround on your agenda for next winter.

The Halliday W**e Companion 2027 results are out, and there’s plenty for our team to celebrate with three Swift Sparklings in the top scoring Australian sparklings plus the top scoring w**e from the Orange region.

We’re also very proud that our Swift Sparkling w**emaker Drew Tuckwell was shortlisted for Halliday W**e Companion W**emaker of the Year.

These results reflect many years of work in the vineyard and w**ery. Our vintage sparklings spend up to 12 years on lees, so it’s particularly rewarding to see w**es that have been a long time in the making recognised in this way.

We’re excited to present a ‘meet the producer’ dinner event with Truffle Hunts | Farmstay | Events | Equitation truffles on Saturday 29 August.

We’ll be showcasing truffles in a four course dinner celebrating one of Australia’s finest seasonal delicacies.

RedGround Truffles owners Jill and Neil O’Grady will share the story behind truffle cultivation and the unique growing conditions of the Central West, offering an insight into how these remarkable fungi are grown, harvested and best enjoyed.

The menu will showcase the Alpine grown Australian black truffles and you may have the opportunity to experience RedGround’s rare Spring White Truffle if nature delivers in time. While we can’t guarantee their arrival, if they are ready, they’ll make a very special appearance on the night.

Ticket price includes the four course menu and a welcome Swift Cuvée. W**e, cocktails, b**r and non-alcoholic drinks will be available to purchase on the evening.

We’ve been topping our lake up with Silver Perch for the Fly Fishing Experience. They’ll join the Rainbow Trout which are now around 3yrs old.

The experience includes a 2 hour tutorial with our team member Greg, who is an expert at fly fishing, followed by the degustation lunch or dinner with matching w**es at Printhie Dining.

It may be your first time fly fishing or you’re a seasoned expert, whichever the case, Greg will look after you.

We love seeing the diversity of the groups that choose this experience. From mother and son to fishing clubs and couples, it is an adventurous day out.

Since joining Printhie in 2007, Drew has played a pivotal role in shaping our w**emaking philosophy and establishing the Swift Sparkling collection now recognised among Australia’s leading traditional method sparkling w**es.

From Orange to the world stage, we’re thrilled to share that Printhie W**es has been recognised at the Decanter World W**e Awards 2026, earning a Platinum Medal for our Swift 2011 Blanc de Blancs and a Gold Medal for our Swift 2017 Vintage Rosé.

Only 16 Platinum Medals were awarded globally in the sparkling/champagne class and a small family business in Orange received one of them.

The accolades continued with Silver Medals awarded to our Topography Chardonnay and Pinot Gris.

To receive recognition on this international stage is particularly meaningful. The Decanter World W**e Awards attracted 17,000 entries from 58 countries and is blind tasted by some of the w**e world’s most respected experts, including Masters of W**e and Master Sommeliers.

These results are a testament to the dedication of our vineyard team (Dave Swift and Greg Hayman) and our w**emakers (Drew Tuckwell and Viv Wheaton) and reinforce our belief that the cool-climate vineyards of Orange are world-class.

It’s not everyday you get to sit at a table with such a diverse and inspiring group of women doing amazing things in regional Australia. This was the vision of Edwina Bartholomew and The Australian Women’s Weekly to bring together and acknowledge what women are achieving in often challenging circumstances across the country.

Stories of connection, adversity, optimism and hope were shared but what shone through the most was our love of country living. There was collective acknowledgement that we’re so lucky and grateful that we can run businesses and pursue dreams in regional settings, something that we take for granted but was not an option for previous generations. Perhaps most importantly it was the sense of support and the quiet championing for one another that goes on behind the scenes.
