Fort Cooper Pastoral is seeking an experienced Head Stockman to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader who is passionate about cattle, enjoys working in a team environment, and takes pride in developing others while maintaining high standards.

Based at Fort Cooper Station, Nebo QLD, this role works closely with our management team and will operate across four properties as required, leading teams through a variety of livestock and station operations.

Experience Required:
• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
• Outstanding stockmanship and cattle handling skills
• Strong horsemanship
• Competent machinery operator: trucks, tractors, dozers, graders
• Proven ability to lead and mentor teams of ringers
• Calm under pressure with the ability to make sound decisions on the run
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Adaptable, efficient and able to work in changing conditions
• Professional attitude with a commitment to building a positive team culture
• High standard of animal welfare and workplace safety

The role includes:
• Leading day to day cattle operations
• Coordinating and working alongside station teams across four properties
• Training and mentoring junior staff
• Planning and organising work to maximise efficiency
• Machinery operation and general station duties
• Maintaining a safe, productive and respectful work environment

Fort Cooper Pastoral is looking for motivated Station Hands to join our growing team. If you're passionate about the cattle industry and want to continue building your skills while working across a progressive Wagyu operation, get in touch!

This position is based at Fort Cooper Station, Nebo QLD but mobilisation across four properties is included.

Experience Required:
• Minimum 2 years' experience working in the cattle industry
• Strong horsemanship and confidence riding in all types of country
• Confident working cattle with good stock sense
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
• Able to work well independently and as part of a team
• Willing to learn and develop new skills
• Professional, reliable and respectful

The Role:
While cattle work is a major part of the role, station life is much more than mustering. You'll be involved in:
• Mustering and processing cattle
• Fencing, including new fence construction and flood damage repairs
• Water runs and infrastructure maintenance
• General station improvements and projects
• Machinery operation
• Day to day station operations across four properties

We’re looking for a Station Cook to join our small team at Fort Cooper Station near Nebo.

You’ll be cooking 3 meals a day for a crew of 2–8 people (varying numbers due to multiple stations and mustering/project activities), plus light cleaning and upkeep across two homesteads.

We’re after someone who enjoys country life and can serve up healthy, hearty meals in a relaxed station environment.
