Penny Lane Wine Bar is looking for a motivated 1st or 2nd Year Apprentice Chef to join our team full-time.
This is more than just an apprenticeship. We’re looking for someone who genuinely wants to learn the craft from experienced chefs in a supportive, hands-on environment where you’ll progressively gain experience across every aspect of the kitchen.
As your skills develop, you’ll gain experience in:
* Food preparation and service
* Woodfire pizza
* Share plates
* Desserts
* Breakfast service
* Seasonal menu development and chef specials
* Functions and events
* Kitchen operations and teamwork
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has a genuine passion for food and hospitality
* Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work
* Brings a positive attitude and strong work ethic every shift
* Thrives in a fast-paced environment
* Is eager to learn and takes feedback on board
* Is committed to completing (or continuing) their apprenticeship
* Can work Wednesday to Sunday, with hours varying to meet the needs of the business, including evenings and weekends

Previous kitchen experience, basic knife skills and Food Safety knowledge are advantageous, but not essential. Reliable transport is also advantageous due to evening finishes. Above all else, we’re looking for someone with the right attitude who wants to build a career as a chef.
