Week 1 of Bambino in Italia 26’ 🇮🇹🍷
From the eternal streets of Rome to the chaotic charm of Napoli, this first chapter has been one unforgettable celebration of Italian food, wine and culture.
Rome never disappoints. On our sixth or seventh visit, the city continues to reveal new stories around every corner. Between ancient monuments and hidden piazzas, we revisited iconic Roman flavours like Carbonara and Cacio e Pepe, while discovering the incredible depth of the local cuisine through dishes such as Coda alla Vaccinara, slow-cooked oxtail in rich tomato sauce with freshly made fettuccine. Paired, of course, with a glass of elegant Cesanese.
Then it was aboard the Frecciarossa to Napoli.
A city bursting with energy, history and character. We wandered through the Centro Storico, along Spaccanapoli, explored the Spanish Quarter and took in breathtaking views from Castel Sant’Elmo across Mt Vesuvius, Sorrento and Capri.
And the food? Mamma mia.
Pizza Napoletana, panini, fritto misto, pizza fritta and enough pasticceria to keep us dreaming long after we’ve left. The sfogliatelle alone were worth the journey.
Beyond Napoli, the volcanic hills of Campania led us to Avellino and the spectacular wines of the region: Greco di Tufo DOCG, Fiano di Avellino DOCG and Taurasi DOCG.
A true highlight was spending time with the Pizza family and our great producers 𝑻𝑬𝑵𝑼𝑻𝑨 𝑫𝑬𝑳 𝑴𝑬𝑹𝑰𝑮𝑮𝑰𝑶 . Passionate custodians of their land, their organic vineyard practices and dedication to preserving Campania’s winemaking traditions embody everything we love about Italian wine.
One week down. Countless stories, photos, flavours and glasses shared.
And we’re only just getting started.
Salute! 🍷🇮🇹
