Beef ribs, slow-braised until the meat gives up and falls apart, in a dark roasted gravy of cinnamon, curry leaves, black pepper and coconut. Flaky parotta alongside, made for tearing up and dragging through the bowl until it's wiped clean. Come hungry.

Order it from our one-night-only Sri Lankan menu this Saturday 27 June, kitchen firing from 4:30pm. The rest of the line-up: fish curry, black pork and coconut roti, chicken curry with string hoppers, and hot butter squid to start.

Sri Lankan Night is coming in hot, Saturday 27 June from 4:30pm, for one night only.

Here's a sneaky peek of the string hoppers. Fine rice-flour noodles spun into little nests and steamed fresh, white and red. Around them, the full spread does the talking: tender chicken curry in roasted Ceylon spices, silky kiri hodi (coconut milk gravy) and fresh coconut sambol. Going all in? There's a black pork curry on the side.
