Here comes summer…

Temperatures 8 degrees above average are forecast for the weekend in Brisbane, with hot and dry conditions expected throughout the rest of south-east Queensland.⁠

Bureau of Meteorology senior meteorologist Angus Hines said temperatures would begin to climb on Wednesday, with mercury expected to breach 30 on Thursday and potentially reach 33 degrees, staying within a few degrees of that maximum over the weekend.⁠
