This Saturday we’re pouring something you won’t see every day.

Join us at Sessions at Arden from 3:00–6:00pm for a free tasting with Timboon Railway Shed Distillery, one of Victoria’s most respected craft whisky producers.

The highlight of the afternoon is their limited release Hamsky – an experimental whisky inspired by the flavours of smoked ham. While it might sound unusual, it’s a seriously well-crafted spirit, bringing together savoury smoke, sweet malt, gentle spice and rich oak into a surprisingly balanced dram. It’s the kind of bottle that gets whisky lovers talking.

Timboon has been producing true small-batch single malt whisky since 2007 from its historic railway shed in southwest Victoria. Every bottle is distilled, matured and bottled on site, with many of their casks prepared in their own cooperage, giving them complete control over flavour development. Their whiskies are known for their rich texture, excellent cask influence and uniquely Australian character.

Whether you’re a long-time Timboon fan or just curious about what a whisky called Hamsky tastes like, this is your chance to try it before it’s gone.

🇯🇵 A little taste of Japan, now filling the fridges at Sessions. 🍺

We’ve been bringing in a lot more Japanese beer lately—and honestly, the range is getting a bit out of hand in the best possible way.

At Sessions at Highett, you’ll find what we believe is one of the most complete Japanese beer selections in Bayside. Our Arden store in North Melbourne also carries a strong range, especially for anyone closer to the city.

A few worth looking out for:

🍻 UCHU Brewing – Big Love & Golem
Big, juicy Japanese craft beer with plenty of hops. These are limited and usually don’t hang around for long.

🍺 Asahi Black
Smooth, dark and malty without being heavy. A very easy introduction to Japanese dark lager.

🌟 Suntory Premium Malt’s & Master’s Dream
A step up from your everyday lager—richer, more aromatic and beautifully balanced.

🏝️ Orion The Dark
An Okinawan favourite with a darker, maltier style and a clean finish.

⚽ Kirin Japan Football Edition Cans
Great beer, great packaging, and definitely one for collectors.

🍍 Japanese Chuhai & Limited Seasonal Flavours
Pineapple, mikan, muscat melon, grapefruit and more. Some are seasonal, so once they’re gone, they may not come back.

You’ll also find plenty of Asahi, Sapporo, Kirin, Suntory, regional releases, alcohol-free options and harder-to-find Japanese cans across both stores.

For the biggest selection, start at Highett. For our inner-city customers, Arden has plenty to explore too.

🌙 Some beers are made for summer.
These are made for 10pm.

Range Brewing’s Late Nights series has officially landed.

Three barrel-aged imperial stouts.
One ridiculously indulgent pastry stout.

Think:
🥃 Bourbon barrels.
🍫 Dark chocolate.
🥞 Banana pancakes.
🥨 Salted caramel pretzels.
🍪 Biscoff biscuits.

Basically… dessert, but with 12% ABV.

Cold nights have arrived.
Drink accordingly.

📍Now pouring & available to take home at Sessions Arden and Sessions Highett.

Limited stock.
No rain checks. 😉

Some releases feel like “new arrivals”.
This one feels like the end of a chapter.

For the last 10 years, Wildflower Brewing & Blending quietly became one of Australia’s most respected mixed fermentation breweries — building a cult following through native yeast, barrel ageing, patience, and beers that often felt closer to wine than traditional craft beer.

Now, with the closure of their Marrickville Brompton Street brewery, this latest release feels especially significant. Not just another seasonal drop, but one of the final releases from the Wildflower era many people came to love.

This release includes:

— Moral Victory (Wildflower x Deya)
— 11-13 Brompton St Commemorative Blend
— Good As Gold Blend 23
— Village 2025 (Wildflower x Mountain Culture)
— St Phoebe 2025

Wildflower never really chased trends or hype. Their beers were layered, evolving, slightly wild, sometimes challenging — but always deeply thoughtful. A brewery that helped redefine what Australian mixed fermentation beer could be.

Very limited allocation now available at both Sessions at Arden and Sessions at Highett.

Once these are gone, some of these bottles may become genuinely difficult to find again.

Tokyo after dark hits different.

The last train is packed.
Neon reflections everywhere.
Salarymen loosen their ties, kitchen crews clock off, bars start to fill, and somewhere in the city, the first proper beer of the night gets cracked open.

This drop is all about that feeling.

Six of the hottest craft beers out of Japan right now — the kind of beers people in Tokyo want after a long day: bold, expressive, limited, and anything but ordinary. From sharp and vibrant sours to wildly creative hybrid styles, and the ultra-hyped hop bombs from UCHU Brewing, this lineup captures the energy of Tokyo’s after-work beer scene in one hit.

Think late-night convenience store runs, tiny standing bars, hidden taprooms, and that one beer that turns the whole day around.

And now, they’ve landed at Sessions ( North Melbourne & Highett )

We’ve also put together a 6-beer set, so you can try all six in one go — the full Tokyo after-work experience, packed into one lineup.

Very limited drop.
Once they’re gone, they’re gone.

Fresh in store now.

If you know sake, you’ll know Ohmine 3grain. It’s one of the bottles that keeps bringing people back in. The “3grain” name doesn’t mean three different rice varieties blended together — it’s part of Ohmine’s own naming system for the line. This bottle is made from 100% Yamada Nishiki with the rice polished to 50%, which is a big part of why it feels so clean, sleek and precise in the glass. Ohmine’s own notes lean into that modern, juicy style too, describing muscat-like sweetness and acidity with layered fruit and mineral character.

Then there’s the Hokkaido Yogurt liqueur, which is just ridiculously easy to love. Kitaoka Honten says it uses yogurt sourced directly from Bocca Farm in Hokkaido, and they describe it as so rich and full that your first reaction is basically, “that’s yogurt.” That’s exactly why bottles like this do so well — creamy, bright, a little indulgent, and very hard to stop at one glass.

Alongside them, we’ve also got Akanesasu, Dainagawa Tenka, SAKE DI PASTA Smooth!!, and more.

Some bottles here are polished and elegant.
Some are fresh and vibrant.
Some are just pure fun.

A very good lineup if you already love sake — and an even better one if you’re just getting started.

Now in store.
