🎉 GRAND OPENING 🎉
We’re excited to announce the official opening of Bindhi Ya Gunyah!

Over the past few months, we’ve been working hard to bring this vision to life and we can’t wait to share it with everyone. A special thank you goes to our Maintenance Team & contractors, who have handcrafted all of the shelving using refurbished timber sourced from our Birthing on Country and Refuge sites, creating a beautiful and sustainable space for our shop.

We’re also incredibly grateful for the response we’ve received from community, with more than 35 Expressions of Interest and still growing!

Bindhi Ya Gunyah is more than just a retail & art hub. It’s a place to celebrate community, creativity, culture and connection. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing this exciting new chapter with you all.

📅 Official Opening: Friday, 23rd October 2026

Tomorrow, our Blak Cede & Waminda men will be running the café while our women take some well deserved time away for Women’s Health Week to focus on wellbeing and self-care. 💆🏾‍♀️

Please stop by, say hello and be kind!
It’s their first time running the café, and we’re sure they’ll appreciate your support! ✊🏽

Some amazing photos from yesterday’s special day, our cups are still so full.

Our Rose Mumbler Elders come to the café every fortnight for a milkshake, which always makes their week. 🥤❤️

If you’d like to pay it forward and shout a milkshake for one of our Elders on their next visit, it is always welcomed and so appreciated.
