Jim Barry was a true visionary and foundational pioneer of the Australian wine industry. In 1947, he became the first qualified winemaker in the Clare Valley, going on to establish his family estate in 1959. Jim's fierce determination, deep understanding of the land, and innovative spirit transformed the region into a world-class wine capital, ultimately paving the way for iconic successes like the 100 point world bench mark
