01 March 2022 At 10:45PM. Very heavy rainfall hit Nyngan including approx 5 minutes of Hail. Everybody will have to wait until morning to check for any damage mainly to vehicles.

Hello Australia 🇦🇺,

It is sad to be reporting that Several towns in regional NSW are on high alert and testing is ramping up after a positive COVID-19 case from Sydney travelled through the western NSW on a camping trip.

The case has prompted a NSW Government warning for all Sydneysiders to stay away from regional and rural areas until the latest outbreaks are under control.

An 18-year-old man from Berala in Western Sydney contracted the virus after visiting the Berala BWS on Christmas Eve and then travelled through the towns of Broken Hill, Orange and Nyngan while unknowingly infectious.

NSW Health said anyone who attended the following venues must get tested.

Nyngan Riverside Tourist Park between January 2 and January 3 must get tested and isolate until a negative result is received but also continue to monitor for symptoms.

Nyngan BP petrol station on January 3 between 9:10m and 9:13am must also monitor for symptoms.

To support the increase in testing, NSW Health has bolstered resources to set up a temporary drive-through testing clinic at the Big Bogan - at least on 5th and 6th January 2021.

The management and staff of the Alamo Motor Inn has been working extra hard to keep our rooms sanitised - every single day - since March 2020. We have now “closed off” our reception and have set up a “window Check in” service for our guests to avoid close contact.
