Cobb's Hill Estate has a rich history dating back to 1854, including providing pastures for Cobb Co. horses employed for pulling stagecoaches through the Adelaide Hills from 1867. Today Cobb's Hill Estate is set on 250 acres, (100 hectares), of quality farmland, with over 60 acres of vineyards and a herd of black angus cattle. Our ten vineyards are planted with Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Chardonna

y, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Shiraz vines. The Cellar Door, located in the old homestead, is set amongst a botanical garden. Combined with walking trails and panoramic views, you can enjoy your own country estate for a while. Relax with homegrown premium cool climate wines and gourmet platters in our tasting rooms and undercover decking with shady lawns in summer and log fires in winter. Enjoy our wines at our new cellar door by tasting flight, by the glass or bottle and our gourmet platters selection. Plus hot and cold beverages. Our selections are available in a picnic basket. Relax inside and out at the bar or table, on the lounge, under the trees or with a friendly game of petanque. Stroll through the gardens, picnic by the pond or walk by the vineyards and along the creek. It’s up to you. Our Cellar Door team are committed to the best service and a memorable visit. THE HUNT IS AFOOT 🐾

You may not know but along with our beautiful vineyards, cattle and sheep we also have two Truffière's on the Estate. With our oak trees now reaching five years old, this season was the first real opportunity to see if we could uncover a little black gold beneath the soil.

No truffles just yet… but plenty of promising signs for the seasons ahead.

Now into year six, and we’re hoping this is the year we can bring our own Estate-grown truffles to the table — and perhaps even a Cobb’s Hill Truffle Feast in the Terrace Restaurant. 🍷

We’re entering an exciting new chapter at Cobb’s Hill Estate and are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen and help take our food offering to the next level.

This is more than just running a kitchen. We’re looking for a chef who wants to create, lead and build — developing seasonal menus, showcasing Adelaide Hills produce, mentoring a team and creating memorable food experiences across our restaurant, garden dining and events.

What we’re looking for:
- Experienced Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Passion for seasonal, local produce
- Experience across restaurant, events and functions
- Strong understanding of food costs and kitchen operations
- Hands-on approach and high standards
- A genuine connection to the Adelaide Hills is highly regarded
