We’re delighted to celebrate our 2026 Halliday Wine Companion results, which recognise both our team’s hard work and the special sites we’re honoured to farm.

We’re thrilled that Murdoch Hill has again been awarded a coveted 5 Red Star rating in the new – a recognition reserved only for Australia’s most consistently outstanding wineries. To sit alongside the country’s best is a true honour. ❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This year’s reviews were some of our finest yet, awarding:
⭐ 97 Points – Orion Oakbank Syrah 2023: the highest-rated Adelaide Hills Shiraz, “Radiant in its ripeness… filigreed, pure and impressive.”

⭐ 96 Points – Apollo Pinot Noir 2023: the equal highest-rated Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir, “Medium weight with dialled-up concentration… a beautiful reminder of the region’s potential.”

⭐ 95 Points – Rocket Chardonnay 2023: “An important wine for the region – texturally brilliant with multifaceted nuance and complexity.”

⭐ 95 Points – The Tilbury Chardonnay 2023: “Citrus-driven with lemon, lime and grapefruit pith, tantalising and electric, bound to reward patience.”

⭐ 95 Points – Jupiter Sangiovese 2023: “Earthy, restrained and remarkably drinkable – a stunning inaugural release.”

These scores are a testament to the Adelaide Hills’ unique terroir, dedication, and the relentless work of our vineyard and winemaking team. 2023 was a challenging but outstanding vintage – producing wines of purity, energy and character.
