🏆 Australian BBQ Alliance Awards Night 🏆

What an incredible night at the Beechmont Hotel! 🍾🔥 This place is absolutely amazing and is definitely a must-see for everyone’s list!

It was so special watching all our friends be nominated and receive their well-deserved awards. We were incredibly honoured to have two nominations on the night — BBQ Team of the Year and Jess for Volunteer of the Year. 🥰

To be nominated alongside so many incredible teams and volunteers was an honour in itself. ❤️

Then came the main awards… and we knew our name was going to be called! 😱

We are absolutely stoked to announce that we finished 🥈 2nd Overall in the HeatBeads Championship Series for the Australian BBQ Alliance!

A few months ago, we honestly didn’t even think we’d crack the Top 10, so to finish 2nd overall is an achievement we are incredibly proud of.

An absolutely amazing effort from the whole team — every cook, every late night, every early morning and every bit of hard work has led to this. ❤️🔥

Huge congratulations to all the winners, nominees and everyone who makes this BBQ community so bloody awesome!

Vegas showdown weekend! 🎰🔥

Whilst we’d already secured our ticket to Vegas 2027, we were absolutely hoping our other close BBQ and personal friend, Grant Coleman, could secure his too… and DID HE EVER! 🏆🇺🇸

We came away with a pretty decent haul ourselves:

🍗 Chicken — 17th (we thought it was better than a few weeks ago!)
🥇 Pork Ribs — 1st place
🐖 Pork — 4th
🥩 Brisket — somewhere… okay! 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

That landed us 5th Overall, and we couldn’t be happier given the incredible calibre of cooks at this event!

Congratulations to everyone who walked — what an absolute field of talent! 👏🏼🔥

And congratulations to Grant Coleman on the Grand Champion win and securing his Las Vegas ticket! 🏆🎟️🇺🇸

A huge honour to be named finalists in the ABA Peer Vote Awards!

We're incredibly proud to be finalists for Team of the Year. At the halfway point of the year, we were sitting outside the top 10, but through grit, determination and unwavering consistency, this team kept showing up and delivering.

One thing we're especially proud of is that throughout the journey, we've celebrated and supported the achievements of other teams. Success is always better when it's shared, and it's fantastic to see so many deserving finalists recognised.

A special congratulations to Jess, who has been named a finalist for Volunteer of the Year. Jess has dedicated countless hours to the ABA behind the scenes, alongside an amazing group of volunteers many of whom have also deservedly been recognised as finalists.

Congratulations to all the finalists. We're grateful to be among such an outstanding group and can't wait to celebrate with everyone.

Beechmont Hotel BBQ Supply Co Classic... what a weekend! 🔥🥩

The event was new, and wow, what a mint venue! Mitch & Jess headed down this week with one goal to hear our team name called out and that's exactly what happened.

Results:
🥈 2nd Chicken
9th Pork Ribs
🥉 3rd Pork
7th Brisket

🏆 Overall: 3rd Place!

Just ONE point behind first, which makes it a little more painful! 😂

A huge congratulations to Dusty Que on taking out the GC, and Lukas on the RGC.

We've got a few tweaks to make, but we're really happy with where we're at heading into the next cook in three weeks. Time to fine-tune a few things and get back after it! 💪🔥

1st comp of the new season kicks off this weekend at Beechmont Hotel! We are one down this week but don’t worry he’ll be back for the next one. Finishing off strong last season we hope to start off nicely. 🔥 The Big Chill Armidale results are in! 🔥

Unfortunately we didn’t get the 3-peat in a row, but we’re still pretty happy with the cook — even if the judges had other ideas 😅

🏅 Lamb – 4th Place
Got scored down on texture, but we definitely thought it was better than the score!

🏅 Chicken – 6th Place
🏅 Pork Ribs – 11th Place
Not really sure what happened here 🤷‍♂️
🏅 Pork – 4th Place
🏅 Brisket – 7th Place
🏅 Steak - 5th Place

🏆 Overall – 6th Place
