2026 GOOMBUNGEE - HADEN CATTLE CARCASE COMPETITION RESULTS

Great results from our Speckle Park and Tuli cross steers, demonstrating the potential of these cattle in a paddock-to-plate program.

3rd out of 25 in the Lightweight Class
MSA Index: 64.25 (runner up)
LMY: 37.16/40
EMA: 75 cm²
Ossification: 100

🥩 No. 4 Steer – Tuli/Simmental cross
11th out of 25 in the Lightweight Class
MSA Index: 61.05
LMY: 37.79/40
EMA: 72 cm²
Ossification: 100

Both steers returned valuable carcase data, giving us further insight into the performance of these crosses.

🏆 Big wins for the Downlands show team this year 🏆

Not only did the team excel with the purebred heifers in the show rings across the state this show season, they also produced a well-rounded, high performing sanga steer in the carcase competition

This steer performed well above expectations and serves as a fantastic example of what a Speckle Park × Senepol composite can deliver! 🥩
