For me the call to the beach is strong. It is something I have felt deeply since childhood. Finding ways to connect to the beach whilst living inland and in a cold climate has been a challenge, the medicine has come in persisting and finding the gift of time to connect whenever it is granted and then deizing it. Today the ocean gifted me a huge block of clay. There were no surfable waves for me, but I was able to ride my creative urge and birth this beautiful mumma and babe ❤️

To the forever wild children, untamable
Running barefoot upon the scorching bitumen.
Blonde hair knotted and tangled like cobwebs, windswept by an ocean storm.
Sorry for nothing.
Climbing through salty mangrove jungles, where the albino crocodile rules as king.
A wild-ish fury that can not be contained, but blazes like fire amongst a sea of eucalyptus
The wild children, who adopt uncared for animals and hide them away in their wolf dens, and lovingly feed them and tend to their needs.
To the wild children, who love with more than just her heart, but with every part of their innocence.
Who know not yet fully, the multifaceted beauty of hurt or pain, but gingerly dip their toes into the ever flowing river of ancestral griefs.
