For this ‘event week’ I like to call them. Being Father’s Day. Orders are coming in hot. About 70% higher than usual at the moment. Already 402 trays on order right now which is a whole day ahead than where I usually am at this point in the week and this is not including the 47 messages I have to process right now and not including the messages I’ll now get over the next few hours. I’ll stock as sufficiently as I can but it’s looking pretty hefty at the moment.

Let’s see what I can do. Not my first rodeo.

Abit of a chaotic day for myself yesterday. Sorry if I was abit discombobulated (good excuse to use this word). But I was in a big hurry to get as much done as I could before needing to get going. Got home at 2:00am this morning with more work to do still 😴. There’s always so much to do and I do a large majority myself so your patience and understanding is always seen and appreciated by me. Demand has been severely inconsistent and heavily fluctuating lately which is leading to me misjudging how much to bring for the week and causing a deficit of about 50 trays sometimes. To avoid missing out at the moment until I gauge this seasonal demand change abit better. Ordering early is your best bet. As the variable I’m dealing with at the moment is sometimes 150 trays difference per week to week.

Pictured here is a purple egg. I sometimes look out for and save the most purple egg of the week for a customers daughter who finds them rather interesting. It’s cool to have little connections with people like this through business. This occurs through altered pigmentation application on egg formation. Not a sign of any issue. Just a cuticle phenomenon. I could get more technical but that’ll do I think 😆.

Things have been a tricky to balance lately as my head just wears so many hats and the head that wears many hats is heavy. But the weather and calendar is reminding me to keep focused on supply vs demand towards the last quarter of the year to ensure I can cater to that December demand and not overcommit between now and then. Today I also woke to learn one of my customers is declared missing in Nepal due to the natural disaster event. This brings me sadness. I communicate with my customers on a very grounded face value level even if it’s briefly and when it’s been 6-7 years. It hits. I get sad. When they pass from disease or age. I get sad. This accidental thing I started years ago became a sudden journey for me where a whole bunch of people hopped on board and when they depart due to such events. It just applies an element of sadness for me to endure at the same time.

I’m not exactly sure of the entire point of this post but for the most part it’s to share my perspective of what it’s like from my side of things as there’s 800-1000 of you and 1 of me and things can get cloudy sometimes.

Processing pending orders 🔜. It’s a constant battle to keep everything afloat lately. Always. Something. To. Do. Every. Single. Day. ♾️

A little different this week. I am attending an event on Saturday. My familiar face will only be here serving until 12:00. After that you’ll be greeted by my Mum and wife. Make sure you tell her how good I am. Multiple times. If collecting after 12:00 just be sure to let them know the name of who ordered so they can find you easily on spreadsheet. I recognize around 80% of you but it’ll all be new for them so I just want to make sure everyone gets the right eggs and if possible the more of you that can come by 12 ish the better to reduce the workload for them in my absence.

Chase up messages for non collected orders may or may not be sent in my absence to do so. 2:00 close will be sharp as they’ll not be able to hang around long after that. It’s the first time someone’s filled in for me in 6.5 years so your assistance in coming early is much appreciated if possible 😁 and again make sure to tell her how good I am.

Might be short this week but I’m honestly not sure yet. But still processing orders as normal as I have a decently good feeling I’ll be able to square up tomorrow with what I fell short on with today as I was not as available as I needed to be.

Time constraints becoming a frequent occurrence and challenge for me. How much can one person do in a day ? 😵‍💫

Ready for your orders this week if you’re needing. This week I’ll be stocked healthily but it could be my last one as such for a few weeks as there’s abit of problematic commotion in egg world are the moment in terms of stock movement restrictions due to precautions being taken during this present bird flu situation you may have seen in media.

It’s week by week at the moment but things could go bad real quick. But again for this week I’m actually pretty well prepared with stock confidence.
