Everyone is happy now the early morning fence move has happened
The fence gets moved 3 times a day.
The autumn cows and calves along with the spring weaners are doing well
They also have access to hay which helps limit fluid manure

After a lovely 51mls of soaking rain we had to take the long way round to get to move the fence this morning for the autumn cows and calves and the spring weaners who are now approaching their first birthday

My earlier comment that the Ekka is a tough competition proved to be the case
Although we didn’t ribbon we have faith in our breeding program and the results we are achieving

We hope he performs well but know that the Ekka steer competition is tough. It attracts high quality cattle and sets a very high standard of excellence
