70 years and Three generations of bringing premium Australian-grown fruit to Aussie families🍎🇦🇺

This year, The N&A Group proudly celebrates 70 years in business.

What began in 1956 when David Cathels Snr purchased N&A Fruit Distributors at Sydney's Haymarket Markets has grown into one of Australia's leading fresh produce businesses.

From the early days of supplying fruit through the Sydney Markets, to the purchase of our first apple orchard in Batlow in 1967, the Cathels family has built a business founded on integrity, long-term relationships and a commitment to quality.

Today, with a third generation of the Cathels family now working in the business, we're proud to continue the legacy while looking firmly to the future.

Most importantly, this milestone wouldn't have been possible without our incredible growers, customers, partners and team members who have been part of the journey along the way.

Thank you for being part of our story.

Here's to the next chapter. 🌱

Spring moments at our farm in Batlow 🌸

Plentiful blossom on these trees gets the growing season off to a strong start 🐝

16/09/2025

Blossom at one orchard and a late season snow fall at another... all in the space of just a few weeks, such are the extremes of farming!

Our blocks always have the most vibrant pink blossom and we are off and racing towards another exciting flat peach and nectarine season.

And the late-season snow at in Batlow gave our Apple trees some of the essential chilling hours that they require to adequately rest during their dormancy throughout the winter ❄️
