Me with another number cake post 😝

But when a beautiful long term customer asks you to make her son’s birthday cake how can you say no. I will forever be obsessed with how these cakes come together. It is honestly the one thing I love doing the most.

Hello friends!

It’s been a minute since I’ve popped up on your feed.

I found myself falling out of love with the idea of cookies for a long while, so if you’ve been around you’ll have noticed the switch to cakes I did and since then it’s been a bit sporadic in my postings.

I headed back into the “real world” working life so this little biz has taken a little backseat.

Hey friends!

My other work has been chaotic with the hours I’m currently doing between day and night shifts so I’m really far behind on any Easter prep 🙇🏻‍♀️

I’ve just popped up all the cookie options online. I’m was hoping to get some cupcakes or something else online but I won’t have the time unfortunately as Saturday is my only day off and that’s now consumed by kids and soccer.

Grab a drink, take a seat. This is a bit of a long one.

LB3 as you know it is changing. For the last 3 years I have pumped unimaginable hours (many days into nights, into days) into this little business.

As my skills grew so did, opportunities that I could only ever dream about. Making cookies for some amazing brands and even a huge music artist (remember those Halloween cookies…I wonder if anyone can pick who was in Brisbane that weekend). To being given opportunities to create content for some truly incredible companies. The best part is the friendships I’ve made along the way not only from fellow bakers, small businesses but customers too.

As most of you know I had a massive surgery in September, then I returned back to the “real world” workforce in October last year. Working 5 nights a week, the 3 kids who are growing fast, normal life things. I honestly don’t have a lot of free time to put into my biz right now.

So what’s changing?
I’m not closing. We pivot instead, to still offer something to our customers. 🎉

Custom orders will become EXTREMELY limited so it is crucial you book in well in advance.

I’ll continue to offer seasonal releases (Easter, Christmas etc) as they seem to be what the customer base loves. Expanding those releases with a few more baked goods, think dessert boxes. 🎁

The letter/number cake orders will be limited to a few a week. (Without a lie, these are actually much easier to create than the time cookies can take up) . 🎂

Occasionally I will drop a Friday afternoon pick up for local customers whether it be mix pack of cookies, cupcakes or cake tubs. Whatever the week brings, it’ll be a surprise for us all 😂.

I am still keen to continue to work with businesses who would like to utilise my skills to collaborate/content create, please reach out if that is you and we can chat. ✨

Thank you to each and every one of you who has supported me and this little biz for the last 3 years. Im looking forward to the change and hopefully in time, you’ll see me back in full swing again.

The youngest human in our family is 6 today.
The demands came thick and fast: Number 6, white chocolate with strawberries in it (even though that wasn’t a listed option), Mermaid and all the colours.

Nevertheless with those requests, here we are. The perfect cake for the miniest human ball of sunshine.

I probably have many people here that can recall me saying “I will never do cakes”.

I still stand by that statement. 😂.
