As we celebrate our 31st birthday week, we would like to take a moment to reflect on the rich history of Orroroo Meat Co. Which extends past our 31 years in the shop 🥰
In the first accompanying photograph, from left to right, are Belinda Reddaway, Leanne Jones, Grant Reddaway, Cath Reddaway (Grant's mother), and Bev Davidson (née Jones). This photo serves as a reminder of the 1960s when Jack Reddaway (Grant's father) and Jimmy Jones (Leanne and Bev's father) were partners at Orroroo Meat Co. Back then Grant was just a twinkle in the old man's eye 😉. Cath can certainly recount numerous stories about the past, including the use of sawdust on the floors. Those were days when the slaughterhouse was fully operational, and later on Grant, as a youngster, would assist Jack, creating cherished memories. Orroroo Meat has a long-standing presence in the community, and we are proud to continue operating. We found some extra pics of the old days 🥰
