Another Espresso Martini twist? Absolutely. The Brown Sugar Espresso Martini is a deeper, richer take on Australia's unofficial national cocktail.

Ingredients
45mL cream
1tbsp brown sugar
45mL dark rum
1 pinch salt
1 dash vanilla extract, optional
45mL espresso
Garnish: grated coffee bean
Glass: rocks

Method
1. Add all ingredients except espresso to cocktail tin
2. Shake with 1 ice cube for a whip shake (see tip below)
3. Fill glass with ice and pour cocktail over
4. Layer with espresso, and garnish with grated coffee bean to finish

Tip
Whip shake: Add your ingredients (except espresso) to the shaker with just one cube of ice and shake until you don’t hear it rattling in the tin. One cube will help aerate the ingredients and chill slightly, but without diluting too much.

A Yakult Soju Highball and Korean fried chicken? Yes, please. Sweet, tangy, fizzy and refreshing – it's the Friday night combo we're very much here for.

Ingredients
1 small Yakult (65mL)
50mL soju (any flavour you like)
1 pinch salt
100mL soda water
Glass: highball

Method
Add Yakult, soju and salt to a cocktail shaker
Add ice and shake until the tin is frosty
Strain into two glasses – the cuter the better
Ensure your soda is as cold as possible, then add 50mL to each glass
