This weekend, I had the joy of delivering 160 cupcakes to McLaren Vale Distillery for Luke & Ashlee’s wedding!

They went for vanilla cupcakes with zesty lemon Swiss meringue buttercream and decadent chocolate cupcakes with Belgian chocolate Swiss meringue buttercream, all finished with pearlised sprinkles.

So…. What can you make with 36 eggs, 3kg butter, a few kilos of flour, 4kg icing sugar, 1/2 kg each of lemon curd & strawberries??? My husbands 50th birthday cake!!! This one was bigger than Ben Hur! Top cake, chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream & sugar strawberries, bottom layer vanilla cake with lemon buttercream and of course edible handmade hay bales, dirt and rocks!
