Calling all little nature lovers! 🌿 Honey Heroes is a hands-on morning where kids step into the world of bees, learning how they live, how honey is made 🍯 and why they matter to our ecosystem, guided by our very own beekeepers.

There's exploring, there's play, and there's a relaxed brunch box in Agora to finish, with every Honey Hero heading home with seeds of their own to plant.

While the kids are busy becoming Honey Heroes, parents are welcome to relax, grab a coffee or wander the gardens at their own pace.

Choose from two dates:
Wednesday 23 September or Thursday 1 October
Sessions at 8:30–10am or 10:30am–12pm
Ages 5–14, $65 per child

Where does food really come from? This school holidays, the little ones can find out for themselves 🌱

Little Growers is a hands-on gardening workshop set amongst the gardens of Alsahwa Estate, made for kids aged 5 to 12 who love being outdoors and getting a bit of dirt under their fingernails.

Over 90 minutes, young gardeners will harvest fresh produce, meet our composting worms, wander the beds to see what's in season and plant their very own pea seeds to carry home and care for. Along the way, they'll pick up real skills in soil health and sustainable growing, the kind that stay with them long after the holidays end 🌿

When the digging is done, they'll wash up and enjoy a brunch box in Agora while you relax nearby with a coffee and take in the Estate.

It's a slower kind of school holiday activity. No screens, just fresh air, curiosity and something living to bring home.

School holiday plans, sorted 🐨

If you have a wildlife-mad kid at home, this one is for them. On Wednesday 30 September, the gardens of Alsahwa Estate become home base for the Koala Detective Workshop, where kids aged 5 to 12 learn from a very special guest: Malani, an 11-year-old koala expert from .

Malani will share the same clues real wildlife experts use to find koalas in the wild, from claw marks on tree trunks to scats on the forest floor, along with how to recognise the signs of a sick or injured koala. Then it's time to put those new skills into practice on a Koala Quest through the Estate, searching the trees for hidden clues like true detectives 🔍

Afterwards, the kids can find a quiet spot in Agora to enjoy their brunch box while you take a moment to relax and soak up the Estate.

90 minutes of discovery, fresh air and hands-on learning amongst the gardens 🌿 turning curious kids into confident koala guardians.

Some dishes are made for the middle of the table.

This Father's Day, the ēthos kitchen is slow-braising Parwan Prime lamb shoulder for seven hours, finished with balsamic shallots, crisp Byron Bay lonza and pan-seared garlic and rosemary Kipfler potatoes. It serves two as a main, or lands at the centre of the table for everyone to share, alongside the full ēthos menu and a Kids Menu for the little ones.

Save room for sticky date and banana pudding with brown butter toffee sauce, milk crumb and Spiced Rum & Raisin ice cream. And for dad, the King's Negroni, poured with Nil Desperandum Artfully Corrupted Spiced Rum.

Three generations, one long lunch, and a lamb shoulder we suspect might not want to leave the menu.

Three generations, one table.

This Father's Day, bring your dad and the kids, and let someone else do the cooking for once. A slow Sunday at the Estate, a long lunch at ēthos, and a lamb shoulder that has been braising for 7 hours so you don't have to lift a finger 🍴

At the centre of the table, our 7-hour braised Parwan Prime lamb shoulder with balsamic shallots, crisp Byron Bay lonza and pan-seared garlic and rosemary Kipfler potatoes, made for sharing.

Save room for the sticky date and banana pudding with brown butter toffee sauce, milk crumb and Nil Desperandum Spiced Rum & Raisin ice cream, and raise a King's Negroni to the man of the hour, featuring Artfully Corrupted Spiced Rum 🥂

There's something about school holidays spent outdoors, hands in the dirt, eyes on the sky, that stays with kids long after the break ends. This year at Alsahwa Estate, we're hosting three mornings of hands-on adventure for little explorers, each one finished with a relaxed brunch in Agora.

🐝 Honey Heroes | An Alsahwa Favorite — Wed 23 Sept & Thu 1 Oct
