Big, soft, naturally sweet and wonderfully chewy, Medjool dates make a delicious snack straight from the fridge or pantry.

Kathleen has a lovely bunch of fresh rhubarb, and we think it deserves to become something delicious.

Why not try a simple rhubarb crumble?

You’ll need:
🌱 4–5 stalks rhubarb, chopped
🍎 1 apple, peeled and chopped
🍚 2 tbsp sugar
🥣 1 cup rolled oats
🌾 ½ cup plain flour
🧈 75g butter
🍯 2 tbsp brown sugar

Simply: Toss the rhubarb and apple with the sugar and place in a baking dish. Rub the butter into the flour, oats and brown sugar until crumbly, then sprinkle over the fruit.

Bake at 180°C for around 30–35 minutes, until golden and bubbling.

Serve warm with custard, cream or ice cream. 😋
