Another great field day at SWS Stud Merino Breeders Field Day ! Sun was beaming, lots of people and wonderfully presented sheep ! Well done to the hard working committee and sponsors for pulling together a cracking field day.

With plenty of positivity around sheep and wool at moment we had some terrific discussions with existing clients and lots of new people looking at our 4 Reserve Rams and 8 Lotted Rams for our upcoming auction (September 21st)
Lots of comments on how well they were grown for their age (13months) and many pleased to see a good skin with plenty of wool cut.

BIG thanks to Emily Hall and Bill Ryan from AgriWest Rural Pty Ltd for their help for the unload/set up part of our day - you made a big difference.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day Riverina Sheep & Wool Expo yesterday! Pleased the sun came out for all involved after good rain the day before.

Great to catch up with many southern sheep breeders, locals and a particular highlight was seeing lots of our family for the day !

Huge thanks to the committee, sponsors, volunteers and trades that displayed on the day - it was terrific to be part of such an event for Merino sheep back in the heart of the Riverina.

Following on from our day Rabobank Australia National Sheep and Wool show saw us do our yearly visit to our local primary school to support their ‘Living things’ Science unit.

We were lucky to have local friend/client and shearer Tess Woods demonstrate shearing 3 ewes to 3 classes of Kindy kids.
Spike talked about sheep care and management, wool production and harvesting and processing. They were delighted to have a hands on experience and the 2 pet lambs topped off their morning.

Hopefully we see some of these kids at the NSW School Wether Challenge in 8 or 9 years time 😁
