Delcado Avocados

Introducing the better avocado - the Delcado. Grown by the Delroy family in pristine Pemberton, south Love a good story? Thought you would. Just saying.

Here's the short version. Back in ‘88, the Delroy family started planting avocado trees in the best spot they could find, Pemberton. This patch of paradise, in the pristine southwest of Western Australia, is surrounded by ancient forests of giant karri trees and gets just the right amount of rain and sun. Then the Delroys put in a whole heap of work, hard work. From walking the rows of trees and checking the fruit each day, to monitoring the avocados all the way to the store. They even x-ray check the avos to make sure they’re perfect on the inside too. It’s taken 30 years of craft and care to grow an avo that is so perfect, the Delroys have even put their name on it - the Delcado - get it? On the outside, a Delcado certainly looks like an avocado, but it doesn't taste like one. It tastes better because it's fresher. These beauties are slow-grown and stay on the trees for just long enough to develop that a deep, rich, almost nutty smoothness. So if you think there’s nothing better than an avocado, it might be time to try a Delcado. You can pick up a Delcado in supermarkets and any good fresh produce store between October and February. They're one of the only Aussie-grown Hass avos available at that time of year. Most of the others come from across the ditch, or even from Chile. So if you want the better avocado, then just look for the navy and gold Delcado sticker. The Delroys are so confident you'll love their Delcados, they even come with a money-back guarantee.
