Nicolas Trandos
1934 - 2025
Husband, Brother, Father, Uncle, Dedo & Friend
This week we said goodbye to the heart of our family, Nicolas Trandos.
Nick Trandos was a man of incredible strength, quiet wisdom and deep love. His love was unconditional, expressed not only for his farm and his community, but most importantly, his family.
Nick always worked hard with purpose and passion. He took pride in growing carrots, tomatoes and broccoli, this pride was passed onto his boys. This was never just as a job for him, but rather, a way of life.
He taught us, as his family, the value of resilience and strength, acquired both from his upbringing and his personal life. It was these values that laid the foundation for our family and our business which will continue to guide us for generations to come.
While many will remember him for achievements in leadership and service, we remember the man who found joy in the simple things. He would often be found sharing an early morning coffee with the boys, proudly tending to his vegetable patch and sharing his homegrown produce or even playing social card games with his brothers and friends. Nick was always happiest when surrounded by the people he loved.
You could hear his voice from anywhere, it was strong and distinctive. Whether he was calling across the yard or sharing a story, his presence filled every space he was in.
He cherished spending quality time with his children and grandchildren and took great pride in reflecting upon the growth of the family business. He was widely respected as a friend and “Uncle” to all who walked into his life. His time was often spent watching sport, whether it was his beloved Olympic Kingsway, Manchester United or Essendon.
We are proud to carry on his legacy, not just through our work, but through the courage and strength that he passed on to all of us.
We would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who has shown love and support throughout this tough time.
Kindly,
The Trandos Family
