The jam on the table while eating the bread is good. No doubt if you can make it yourself, every day will be fun! It's great to be able to make a jam just for the season. This time, I will introduce the basic recipe for making strawberries. Please try to make it happen.
・Strawberry...500g・Sugar...250g・Lemon juice...1 tbsp
1. Take out the calyx of the strawberry and wash it.
After taking out the calyx of the strawberry, put it in a colander, wash it with water, and wipe it gently.
2. Put it in a pot and sprinkle with sugar.
Place washed and moistened strawberries in a saucepan and sprinkle with granulated sugar and lemon juice. Let's leave it for an hour or so. Moisture flows from the fruit.
3. Boil and sterilize the pot.
Put the water and a jar in a pot that can hold the jar and heat it. Boil for 5 minutes, remove and let dry. When removing, use pliers, etc., taking care not to burn yourself.
4. Put the strawberries on the fire.
Put the pot on medium heat. If it gets sloppy, lower the heat to low.
5. Make an effort to remove the lye.
The lye will rise when you start to boil, so remove it often. If you pay attention, it will finish a nice color.
6. Bring to a boil.
Bring to a slow boil if it takes 20 to 30 minutes. Mix from the bottom of the pan from time to time to avoid burning. * Times are approximate. It depends on the amount of strawberries, so use that as a guide.
6. Boil and it's done.
It will harden as it cools, so turn off the heat in a slightly loose place and transfer it to a sterilized jar while it's still hot.
For a delicious and beautiful finish to the jam, be sure to remove the lye. At the beginning of the fire, let's take the lye by force. It is also a point to cook it slowly over time and finish it deliciously. Choose your pot carefully. Choose a pot that won't react to acid. Enamel and stainless steel pans are the best. If you're concerned, it's best to cook in a clay pot.
