For our cookalong this week we are making a gnocchi dish. We will be using pre-made gnocchi. The recipe calls for the blade cover to cook the gnocchi in the Thermomix. If you don’t have one, you could use a pot to cook it on the stove.

Tonight we cooked the curried potato soup for our cookalong dish. As we had one member with a TM31 we decided we would simply peel the potatoes rather than use the peeler. Interested to see how much potato would have been left after 6 minutes of peeling time! We all had 700 g to add to the soup, so maybe we had more than the recipe suggested.

It is a Canadian recipe, so please remember that their table spoon is only 15 ml not 20 ml which could make a difference when adding the curry powder! I didn’t think about that when I used my Aussie sized spoon!

Sometimes the recipe called for using the reverse function, it as we were going to blitz it all at the end, we found that a bit confusing.

Still the flavour was great and we both enjoyed it. I did not add the 1 tsp salt as we were making the dish. My husband added some when he was eating his, it I didn’t need any more.

A big tick from my potato loving husband, who says he is going to have mother snack of it before heading to bed later tonight. So it must have been okay!
