Behind every meal is a story.
Mine started with my Nan living in Rotorua, a tiny girl who could barely reach the stove, and a whole lot of mud pies.
Kai has taken me places I never imagined from childhood dreams to MKR, travelling the world, and now creating meals for my own growing whānau.
This page is a little corner of our life: the food we cook, the stories we carry, and this next season of becoming a māmā.
Thanks for being here 🤎

Kia ora, welcome to the whānau

I’m Tash and this page is a reflection of my kai journey, my life, and the people I get to feed every day.

My love for food started long before this page ever existed. It really kicked off when I was on My Kitchen Rules, where I learned what it feels like to cook under pressure and share my story through kai.

Since then, life has shifted in so many ways.

I moved to Perth, married my husband Tyron, and started building a life here.

Right now I’m in a special season. I’m a mama-to-be, and we also have my parents living with us❤️ So most days, I’m cooking for my husband, my parents, and soon our little one.

Kai for me and what I do through it as a platform has evolved so I'm pivoting in this new season.

It’s how I care for my people.
It’s how I connect us all around the table.
It’s how I keep home feeling like home.
And in the economy we live in today it's how I make it work.

This page is where I’ll share that life with you. Real kai, real seasons, and the meals that hold it all together.

If you’re here for home cooking, family life, and food that actually feeds people… pull up a seat.

Camping kai diaries. My husband and I love cooking so it makes it hard for us to eat out these days. We figured that doesn't change just because we are camping❤️

Honestly I always keep these in the cupboard and I stock up when they are on sale .ausnz
They are super easy to make you can add anything to them they feed 4 people or more, and I swear you have an amazing curry in less than 20mins. If you can't be bothered cooking try them! I'm out for dinner tonight, but my parents and husband still need to eat. Zero effort you dont need to think and leftovers are amazing too😝

Sorry guys too busy enjoying it to describe lol. Tastes like a toffee apple in dessert form. Creamy caramel mousse, tart spiced apple, spongy cake base with light chocolate coating. For $15 I was eating it with a spoon not my hands but so worth it. highly recommend as a spot to try those sweet treats you've always wanted!

God bless my Australian Husband lol. His first boil up and he cooked it the night before because he knows it's better the next day😋 Honestly better than mine. The kumara did not mush up, the juice was perfectly salted, watercress cooked to perfection, and the brisket was in chunks yet falling apart. Yes I'm a tomato sauce person and holy hecka I'm eating it at 7am haha. Who makes the best boil up you know 👇🏽

Green Gold if you live in Aussie. Oh yummmmmm. IGA Merriwa you're welcome!
