Where should you spend — and where can you save — during Prestart?
Not every selection needs to be an upgrade.
And a higher price tag doesn’t automatically create a better-designed home.
The goal is to spend intentionally.
I often encourage clients to think about:
Where will we notice the difference every day?
What will be difficult or expensive to change later?
What adds function as well as beauty?
Where can we keep things simple without compromising the overall design?
Sometimes the best decision is investing in beautiful flooring.
Sometimes it’s extra cabinetry.
Sometimes it’s lighting.
And sometimes the standard inclusion works perfectly within the overall design.
Good Prestart planning isn’t about spending more.
It’s about spending better.
