r Cellar Door is open on Friday and Saturday, 10:30am to 4:30pm. We are at the quiet northern end of country Pokolbin, so come and discover Wombat, and enjoy a personalised wine tasting in our cellar. All our tastings use Riedel glasses, and we offer cheese and biscuits as part of your sit-down tasting. We're on the AROUND HERMITAGE Wine and Food trail, so why not plan to spend some time along Hermitage Rd and escape the press of tourists you find near Broke Rd and McDonald's Rd? Wombat Crossing Vineyard is one of the Hunter Valley's smallest boutique producers of fine table wines. The range of wines shown is modest in size but exceptional in quality. Our vineyards were established from 1996, planted to the traditional forte of varieties for the Hunter Valley - Semillon, Shiraz and Chardonnay. Each wine inherits its characteristics from the soils in its individual (single) paddock vineyard, naturally varied by the climate experienced during that vintage at our property. We're proud to have been featured in a Newcastle Herald article and celebrating our 21st vintage!

It's been a long and exciting journey to get to this milestone, but we can't imagine a better way to spend the years than nurturing the vineyard, producing our delicious boutique wines, and helping to support the rescue and rehabilitation of wombats!

Thank you to everyone who's supported us and enjoyed our wines throughout the years, we couldn't have reached this milestone without you!

Chardonnay is the most popular white grape for a reason, its resilience and versatility means winemakers love growing and making it, and winelovers love drinking it!

To share our love for Chardonnay, we've put together a special release mixed 6 pack of our 2017, 2019 & 2022 vintages. 🍾

We only use the grapes we grow on our vineyard, so our hands craft your wine from start to finish. Our half hectare of Chardonnay was planted back in 2004, and still produces the high-quality fruit we use in our exquisite wine.
