Meet Detlef, one of the friendly faces in the cellar door at Ben Ean!
How long have you been with us?
Since 2018, bringing years of wine knowledge and plenty of laughs to the cellar door.
Favourite wine?
That depends on the time of day! Safe to say he's a fan of just about everything.
Favourite food and wine pairing?
Fresh oysters paired with a crisp Hunter Valley Semillon. A classic match.
Fun fact?
Detlef can't sit still for long. When he's not at the cellar door, you'll likely find him tending to his beloved fig trees or looking after his bees and honey. You may have spotted his adorable poodle, Dion, who occasionally joins him at work and is always a hit with guests.
