Fifty years of w**emaking experience. And another perspective at the table. 🍷

For 2 years now, Damien has been part of the w**emaking team at David Hook W**es, working alongside David through the decisions, details and inevitable problem-solving that come with every vintage.

Before moving into w**emaking, Damien spent years working across the w**e industry, including sales and marketing, before completing his w**emaking degree. It means he understands w**e from more than one side of the bottle: how it's made, but also how people discover it, talk about it and ultimately enjoy it.

At Pothana, there is plenty of knowledge to share both ways.

David brings five decades of vintages, vineyards and experience. Damien brings his own perspective to the w**ery and the w**es being made here today.

Because after all these years, David Hook W**es is still doing what it has always done: learning from each vintage and making the best w**e we can from what the season gives us.

David makes the w**e. Sherry makes sure there’s more to the experience than what’s in the glass.

At Pothana Vineyards, that balance is a big part of what makes the place what it is.

What do 30-year-old Chardonnay vines bring to the glass? 🥂

At Pothana Vineyards in Belford, our Old Vines Chardonnay comes from mature, low-yielding vines that have had decades to settle into the site. 🌿

The fruit is hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed, then fermented and matured in French oak. 🪵

The aim is not to cover the vineyard character, but to give the w**e structure and texture around what was already there.

🍋 In the glass: citrus and peach fruit, lemon zest, fresh acidity and toasty oak.

A w**e shaped as much by where it grows as by what happens after harvest. ✨
