At Pepper Tree, we pride ourselves on growing grapes in some of Australia’s best winemaking regions. The climates and soils of our four estates create unique flavours in the wines they produce. This, coupled with the passion and science our people bring to the process, mean we’ve become one of Australia’s most highly awarded boutique winemakers. Since the Hunter Valley estate was founded in 1991,

our commitment to producing excellent wines has never wavered. As we’ve added vineyards beyond our original home in the Valley, we’ve applied the same stringent conditions to finding the perfect land every time. Our properties in the Hunter Valley, Orange, Wrattonbully and Coonawarra all bring unique personalities to the family. From our home to yours, we bring you the best of four worlds.

There's a short window each spring where our members get the very first look at the new-release whites, before some of them go into the cellar for release later on. It's priority access to the wines we're proudest of. 🥂

Both Single Vineyard Semillons, the Alluvius and the Tallavera, are highly rated by Halliday, and the Stone Mountain Riesling alongside them is one of our most awarded whites. Members can buy them now while the fruit's at its most vibrant, cellar a few to watch them develop, or share them around the table this spring.

It's not only Semillon either. There's the Verdelhos, the Fiano and the Chardonnays, the easy everyday drinking spring's made for.

If you're a member, keep an eye on your inbox this week. If you're not yet, you'd be in fine company.

Happy Father's Day. 🍷

From the Dad's at Pepper Tree we hope the dad, grandad or father figure in your life gets the day they deserve, and a glass they'll enjoy while they're at it.

What are they drinking to celebrate?

First green's showing on the vines. 🌱

This is budburst, the point where the whole season kicks off again, and after a winter of bare rows it always feels like something's starting.

Andrew took us through what he's keeping an eye on right now and why these few weeks shape the fruit months down the track. It's quiet work out there at the moment, but this is where every vintage really starts.

Father's Day is this Sunday. If the dad, grandad or father figure in your life is hard to buy for, we've got a few ideas. 🍷

A Father's Day pack, a gift voucher if you'd rather let him choose, or book him in for a tasting and make a day of it.

Whatever he's into, it beats another pair of socks.

Have a look before the weekend, link's in the comments.

Our 2026 whites are released on the 8th of September, the first wines off this year's vintage. To celebrate, from that day we're welcoming everyone at Cellar Door with a complimentary taste of our new Rhodes Semillon to kick things off. 🥂

It's vibrant and citrussy, and a cracking palate cleanser before you start your tasting. It's on us, right through the month.

Come and see what the new season's brought, and there's more on the releases over on the blog, link's in the comments.

September is when we release our aromatic whites, and we can't wait to share a taste of the 2026s with you. Crisp, fruit forward and fresh, ready for longer afternoons and warmer days. 🌿

Which one are you opening on the first warm afternoon of spring?

Saturday with nothing in the diary. A late breakfast, a walk if the weather holds, and a bottle opened a little earlier than you'd admit to on a weeknight. 🍷

Winter weekends have their own pace.

Best thing you've cooked this winter?

Long before any of us were here, the Wonnarua people called the Hunter River "Coquun." They've been on this Country at least 30,000 years.

So when it came to naming our flagship Hunter Shiraz, we borrowed that name as a nod to everything that came before us, and called it the Coquun Shiraz.

It's a wine we're proud to put the name to.

Grown in the Hunter Valley, rich and savoury, with the kind of structure that lets you enjoy it now or tuck a few away and let them build over the years. 🍷

Five years running, and the team couldn't be prouder to share the news. Our wines have once again earned Pepper Tree Winery a Halliday Wine Companion 5 Red Star rating, along with a swag of Golds, Silvers and Bronzes across our premium range.

It's the rating Halliday saves for a small handful of wineries consistently making high quality wines, so it means a lot to see the work recognised.

If you'd like to see how the range went, head to our blog for the full results, or grab yourself a copy of the Halliday Wine Companion.

Gold 🥇 2026 Alluvius Semillon at the Hunter Valley Wine Show last Friday.

Every wine in that room is judged blind, so nobody scoring knew whose glass they were holding. That’s what makes this recognition worth something.

A big thanks to Andrew and the team in the winery, and to Jeremy and the crew who grew it.
