Atherton Tablelands Food Safari…PART 2.
🥧 I woke up (unintentionally) bright & early on Saturday morning and walked to Burra Bakehouse to be their 1st customer of the day. We had a delicious pie for Breakfast (don’t judge) and a Cream Puff & Paris Breast for afternoon tea later.
🍎 Next we headed over for a wander through the monthly Yungaburra Markets. These markets are famous in FNQ, it’s a huge country market, the weather was glorious so it was packed to the brim with people.
😋 Yungaburra was pumping! We went for a little look in the local shops, our favourite was Winter & Mann, full of beautiful homewares, clothes and treats, we went back 3 times to buy Davidson Plum Marshmallows!
🍹 We chilled for the afternoon, went for a long walk exploring the town, and then had the most amazing dinner at Little Eden, the on-site restaurant at Eden House. We shared Kangaroo Tataki (forgot a photo), then had the slow cooked Pork Shoulder, Beef Short Rib and Mozzarella Potato Balls, and a yummy cocktail. The food, service and peaceful atmosphere was perfect, couldn’t recommend more. Sorry I forgot a photo of the menu, but it’s bookings only and open Thursday-Sunday.
🍦 When we left on Sunday morning we had yummy Brekky burgers at Mr Belsons in Yungaburra then we stopped for the compulsory strawberry soft serve gelato from Shaylee’s, this ice-cream is like a strawberry cloud in a cone!
We hope we have given you some ideas for a Tablelands road trip!
