While I wait a couple more weeks to do 3 High Teas in 3 days (yes you heard right, there’s no such thing as too many high teas!), let’s do a flashback review. Emerson & I went to Adelaide last year and one of the High Teas we enjoyed was in our top 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, does anyone recognise this exquisite foyer??? Stay tuned for our review coming soon. ☕️🫖🍰🥂

For almost 10 years I have been sipping tea and nibbling cake and living my best life at High Teas wherever I go! I started slowly while the obsession grew, and now I prioritise them while on holidays, informing hubby they are part of my job description! 😁

My favourite high tea partner in crime is my daughter Emerson, but when she can’t be there I drag along hubby, my son, my sister, most recently my Mum has joined in, other friends or family, and now I’m even brave enough to go solo!

These are all the High Teas I have experienced, and the list is growing. We have favourites, and we have a couple we probably wouldn’t try again, but the High Tea journey thus far has been a treat, and I can’t wait for more! Have you been to any of these?

We don’t JUST do High Tea, today Emerson & I ventured into Cairns City for early lunch at Earl’s Eatery . We have had their most delicious, moist, soft cinnamon scrolls on several occasions, but today we ventured to the sandwich menu. I had a toasted Reuben and Emerson had the Eggplant Parmi Focaccia, and oh my…what a delight.

Sauce dripping down our arms and on our faces, gobbling it down without a care in the world! We had the Lemon Blueberry Cinnamon Scroll for afternoon tea and Emerson said the strawberry matcha was delish, I am personally not a fan of drinking grass.

Earl’s is open 8am-2pm daily and sometimes there is a line out the door, so get in early, you won’t regret it.

Well it’s been a minute since my last post, life got in the way, so it’s finally time for Vista Hinchinbrook Part 2, the most important part… the FOOD! 🍰

We feasted on an exceptional high tea tower, all prepared on-site, and it was delicious. This is a very ‘homestyle’ high tea, nothing fancy or pretentious, just generous hearty food made with love. 🥰

The sandwiches were fresh & delicious and the prawn cocktail wonton was a treat. 🦐There were so many dessert options including mini banoffee pie, mini cupcake, yoghurt & berry parfait, and my absolute favourite the pretty pink peach blossom. 🧁The scones were served warm & fluffy with loads of jam & cream. 🍓

Tea & coffee are included and they have a bar on-site to purchase alcoholic beverages. 🍷 At $60 per person, with a million dollar view and loads of yummy treats, I can really recommend high tea at Vista Hinchinbrook. They run every month, and they also cater for dietary requirements, my Mum enjoyed her gluten free goodies.
