Charlotte Dalton Wines

Charlotte Dalton Wines The wines of Charlotte Dalton I've been making wine for over 2 decades.

After travelling around the world and creating more than 20 vintages, my love and greater understanding of the process is finally being put to use in my own Charlotte Dalton Wines.

New Love Me Love You Shiraz is on the website, link in bio. There is a very long rambling tasting note which I couldn’t clip - there are many tales to tell! As I was writing the note John from Sugarbloom Farm dropped some beautiful flowers in and shared the Mark Twain quote with me “I didn’t have time to write a short letter, so I wrote a long one instead” and it summed up my struggle perfectly!
This wine is worth the wait - it’s truly lovely 🥰

So grateful. My gosh I feel so incredibly lucky to have such amazing people in my life. You probably don’t even know how much you have touched me with all your comments, likes, messages and reviews , but it’s a lot, like a LOT a lot.❤️❤️

Monday grumble.
I’m pretty sure my reviewer doesn’t follow me on here, otherwise she would have known from our SIX posts that we weren’t going to be open. (Plus Google and 2 websites updated with the fact) But if you do follow me and you like leaving 1 star reviews may I suggest you phone the business, you talk to them, to find out what’s going on before you leave that review. Or unfollow me, cause I’m done.

Did you know that all you really need to know about wine is whether you like what’s in your glass or not?
Somehow, though, there’s this whole wine language that makes people feel intimidated, self-conscious or just plain silly if they haven’t mastered it. Screw that.
I bloody love making wine and drinking wine, and I want you to feel totally comfortable in your opinion of a wine.
My squashed grapes fermented evening aims to demystify some of those words—by tasting a few different wines and honing in on what actually matters. We’ll also take a little dive into how wine is made, and then we’ll head to the winery and see with our own eyes what’s really happening.
Now—I’m not qualified to teach things, so there’s no A4 certificate here. But I do have a Bachelor of Wine Science, so I know all the words. And I co-own and run a cellar door, so I see first hand what that language does to some people: it can shut you down instantly, and suddenly it’s hard to ask questions about what’s in your glass.
10 September, 7pm
Limited seats to keep the space feeling safe.
All questions welcome.
P.S. We really don’t use the “wine language” much in our cellar door. I’d usually rather hear about your uncle’s new dog to be perfectly honest… but if you’ve got the chance, I do occasionally like a little wine chat.

Beyond excited for this new glow up - keeping all of the beautiful aspects of Charlotte Dalton Wines. Saul Matthews gorgeous illustrations and all the joy and whimsy and love I started the brand with 11 years ago. I feel like I’m returning to my roots and at the same time growing up. A real contradiction - which is me to a tee at times. Thank you Kelly | Marketing Specialist | Supporting Local Brands for extracting some thoughts out of my brain and turning them into a whole stunning vibe. You are so talented.

Ticket sales close tonight! I’ve heard whispers of some amazing costumes. Remember it’s however you want to interpret Royal! The questions are written and the awesome prizes are set.
🌊🌳A little about our personal missions;
Amber and Peta have a long history of running fundraising events for the . They’re both incredibly passionate about this cause, and they’ll be once again fundraising to help support the foundation’s work—backing efforts that protect wildlife and wild places and champion grassroots environmental action.
I’ll be raising funds for the Granite Island Penguins Citizen Science group. Their work focuses on protecting, monitoring, and educating the public about the Granite Island penguins. These little fellas are only found on the southern coasts of South Australia and New Zealand, and their numbers are in serious decline—from over 1000 to around 30 on the island.

🤯🤯
Anyone else really twist their brain up packaging things? I’m packing presents to go out to our wine club today. I love our wine club members.
You too could save at least 15% on the wines online and instore, get first dibs at events and get random gifts of special cellared wines. But best of all you’ll get wine showing up to your doorstep without having to leave the house so you’ll always have lovely bottles in the wine rack!
You’ll support a small family business, grapes grown by caring growers and made in our tiny winery with minimum intervention but maximum love, which always results in fantastic, soulful wines, it’s a proven fact. Jump on. Link in the bio ❤️
