Alongside running the vessel, our skipper also sits in the role of Coordinator at Sea, as part of the real time management of the fishery.

As the fishery has just conducted our April Stock Assessment survey, this morning involves plotting out the survey results (red being too small and green being catchable product), and then drafting up closure lines for approval by the committee.

Being the peak growth period, we carefully balance catching a profitable amount, but also allowing stock to grow and increase in size and value.

All things considered, the gulf is in great health and we look forward to getting busy tonight🦐🦐

Not long now, back in the water this week!

Has been up on the slipway for her 5 year renewal survey, as well as a clean, fresh coat of paint and some maintenance while we can access the extra bits
