There’s a story behind the tea we stock from The Organic Tea Project, and it starts with two mates, two bikes and a chai shop in South India.

Jonas and Alok grew up with tea as part of the rhythm of the day. At 10am and 3pm, everything stopped for chai made on ginger, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, conversation. It wasn’t just about the tea. It was a pause. A moment together.

Years later, Jonas was living in Australia and Alok was working with tea gardens in Darjeeling and Assam, helping growers move towards organic and fair trade practices.

When they reconnected, they started talking about something they both felt was missing: tea that tasted like where they came from, and tea they could genuinely trust.

That became Tea For The Planet

They’ve spent the years since working closely with growers and making whole-leaf organic teas without the shortcuts. And you can taste that story in the range.

Our most popular? Their Sticky Chai, made with organic spices, Assam tea and real forest honey.
