What a way to wrap up 2026 w**e pairing Masterclass!
Thanks to Sandra Whitebark W**e, we’ve taken our palates on an incredible journey through some of Australia’s finest w**e regions—from Adelaide Hills to McLaren Vale, Beechworth, and finishing in the King Valley region.
Sandra’s passion and deep knowledge of local boutique w**eries gave us all a whole new appreciation for what Australian w**es have to offer.
And of course, the food... simply amazing! Who would have thought kangaroo tartare could taste so incredible, especially when beautifully paired with a dolcetto blend?
More than anything, sharing the evening with a wonderful table of like-minded w**e lovers and foodies in such a warm social atmosphere made it truly unforgettable.

Migration changes the way you see food.
Having lived across three continents, if there is one thing I’ve learned, it’s that food is the ultimate bridge to connection. No matter where you come from or what language you speak, sharing a meal creates an instant sense of community and belonging.
That realization is what inspired me to start building FoodSocial. Over the years right here in Melbourne, I’ve had the privilege of curating and hosting over twenty countries through our Global Feast A–Z series—exploring the world one plate at a time.
Back in 2012, I hosted the very first Taste of Malaysia in Melbourne to share the incredible diversity, culture, and rich heritage of my roots. Fast forward to today, taking fellow food lovers on our immersive Taste of Malaysia Foodie Tour directly in my home country feels like a true full-circle journey.
Food connects us, breaks barriers, and turns strangers into lifelong friends. Thank you to everyone who has taken a seat at our table over the years!

What a night! From sake novices to sake enthusiasts, it was such a fun and educational evening! 🍶
Sake sommelier Kana Sake journey 🍶✈️❤️ guided us through five curated sakes paired perfectly with charcuterie at Kura - Robata & Sake . Who knew you could even pair sake with chocolate? 🍫🍶
It was also a mini reunion reuniting with Steph back in Melbourne after our recent Taste of Malaysia Foodie Tour in August, plus making wonderful new foodie friends along the way! 💖
We ended the night with some complimentary charcoaled edamame and prawns—a absolute MUST-ORDER if you visit! 🍤🔥
Kanpei to a fun night of great sake and amazing company! Till our next cheer! 🥂
