I was so chuffed to be asked to make a little cuties 3rd birthday cake and cupcakes. How time flies, I also made his 1st Birthday and christening cake.
These were all made with a gorgeous dairy free chocolate cake. The big cake was filled with strawberry jam covered in a vanilla buttercream. Cupcakes just covered with buttercream with a handmade paw patrol cupcake topper.

This week has been extremely busy for me with work etc. I managed to make the top layer of the cake a delicious white vanilla mud and the yummy vanilla buttercream but unfortunately I ran out of time to bake 1 of the bottom layers so I thought I'd use the caramel mud cake from Woolie's and "hack" it.... mistake and to my taste yuck (will never use it again).
After being stuck in traffic on return from Newcastle Saturday morning I had an hour to decorate the princess theme cupcakes, not perfect but still cute.
I am happy my beautiful niece loved her cakes.

Another cake was created this weekend. I had the worst time making, creating and designing this cake as it was for the worst recipient I have had .... my eldest daughter. She turned 5 today and for the last few months I have been trying to think of a great cake for her. I have asked her for the type of cake she wanted and it changed regularly.
I baked the base of a cake to make a wonder woman doll cake but failed. After my fail I was up baking again late last night still no clear decision on what I wanted to do for her. At 5am this morning I finally decided on a cake she would love. She loves chocolate so instead of a character or theme cake I went with a chocolate, chocolate cake.
Mississippi mud cake with chocolate panache with kit Kat bars and m&ms. Nothing was left over so I think it was a bit.

Look at beautiful fresh roses and babies breath on the gorgeous cake board.

This was another cake I was delighted to make on the weekend for a little boys 1st birthday. Delicious Chocolate Mud cake on the bottom tier and yummy vanilla cake for the top tier. Covered in delicious vanilla buttercream. I was proud of my monkey and was happy with the outcome of the cake.

I was fortunate enough to be asked to make a beautiful little girls 1st birthday cake. The theme was "the hive". This is a yummy hokey pokey flavour cake filled with chocate ganache and crushed honeycomb covered with a delicious vanilla buttercream. I was very pleased at how this turned out.

Yummy Mini Vanilla Cake. The flavour of this cake was nothing amazing. My daughters mainly like plain no icing cake. As this was my Husbands birthday cake I opted for cake we could all eat. The fondant was easily removed as it was only kept on by homemade raspberry jam and me and hubby shared the chocies on top with fresh cream.... It was delicious even if I do say so myself. (I am aware my writing is awful it was a rushed job)
