Killara Feedlot – FEEDING ASSISTANT

Killara feedlot is a modern 22,250 head feedlot located near Quirindi, NSW, on the edge of the beautiful Liverpool Plains. An opportunity exists within our Feed Mill team reporting to the Feed & Milling Operations Manager. The Feeding Assistant is responsible for Bunk Call and Hygiene ensuring the wellbeing of animals.

WHAT WILL I DO?
As the Feeding Assistant you will have a varied day including:
• Performing first daily feed call
• Bunk Hygiene
• Testing & Sampling of Rations
• Maintaining Silage Pits
• Operate moving plant for carting up
• Mill & Plant hygiene

WHO AM I?
To succeed at Killara, you will have a:
• Motor Vehicle licence (essential)
• Loader and skid steer experience (preferred)
• Previous Feedlot industry experience (preferred)
• Commitment to safety & zero harm policy
• Team player
• Ability to work autonomously & follow directions
• Reliable & highly motivated

Killara Feedlot is seeking a motivated and detail-focused Finance Administration Assistant to join our team in Quirindi. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of an iconic Australian agricultural business, where your accuracy, initiative and commitment to quality will support the ongoing success of our operations.

About the role
Maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting the timely completion of key financial processes, our Finance Administration Assistant works closely with the Finance & Commercial Manager providing precision and integrity of the feedlot’s financial performance.

Responsibilities
As the Finance Administration Assistant, you will support the Finance & Commercial manager in:
• Preparation of EOM financial reports, analysis and insights to key stakeholders
• Assist with investigating financial anomalies and preparing the P&L
• Monitor company fleet including allocation, repairs, maintenance & fuel usage
• Oversee onsite and offsite residences including arranging leases, entry and exit reports
• Coordinate site IT asset updates/ replacements/ repairs
About you
To succeed at Killara, you will possess:
• Previous finance experience within a complex organisation
• Strong financial acumen and attention to detail
• Tertiary qualifications in finance or agribusiness
• Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the business
• Sound understanding of financial administration, internal accounting practices and reporting processes
• Q-Fever vaccinated or willing to be

Killara feedlot is a modern 22,250 head feedlot located near Quirindi, NSW, on the edge of the beautiful Liverpool Plains. An opportunity exists within our Livestock team reporting to the Assistant Livestock Manager.
As a Pen Rider you are responsible for the daily maintenance and care of all livestock ensuring their optimal health and hygiene.

WHAT WILL I DO?
As a Pen Rider you will have a varied day including:
• Daily observation and health management (including treatment) of Livestock
• Pen Riding and Horse Husbandry
• Stable Maintenance
• Cleaning and maintenance of stock water supplies
• Manual handling of livestock in the feedlot
• Timely and effective receival of cattle (induction) including vaccinating, ear tagging, drenching in accordance with relevant protocols and instructions
• Exiting cattle, completion of appropriate documentation, record keeping, weighing, scanning and drafting

WHO AM I?

Killara Feedlot - GROUNDSKEEPER

Killara Feedlot is a modern 22,250 head feedlot located near Quirindi, NSW, on the edge of the beautiful Liverpool Plains. An opportunity exists within our Maintenance Team in a Permanent Part Time Role reporting to the Feedlot Manager.
As a Groundskeeper you are responsible for grounds maintenance and enhancing of outdoor spaces, ensuring they are safe, clean and visually appealing.

WHAT WILL I DO?
As a Groundskeeper you will have a varied day including:
• Lawns and Plant Care: Mowing, edging, fertilising, weeding, watering, soil conditioning, mulching, and pruning. Planting seasonal flowers or greenery and maintaining overall garden health
• Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
Using hand tools, power tools and machinery such as mowers, trimmers and blowers and performing routine maintenance of tools
• Water Systems:
Implementing, inspecting and maintaining sprinkler systems, managing water distribution for lawns and gardens
• Pest and W**d Control:
Applying pesticides, herbicides and other treatments safely; implementing integrated pest management to protect plants
• Property Upkeep:
Cleaning outdoors areas, removing trash and debris, maintain signage, benches, pathways and other fixtures
• Repairs and Minor Construction:
Performing minor repairs on fences, gates, walkways, sheds and other structures
• Safety and Hazard Management:
Inspecting grounds regularly for hazards ensuring areas are safe and removing hazards
