🤍 That white patch in your haylage? It may actually be beneficial yeast — not harmful mould!

Those white patches you sometimes see in haylage can be yeast, which develops during the fermentation process.

🐴 And that yeast may actually be beneficial for your horse’s gut.

Yeasts derived from Mucor species have been found to support fermentation and the production of microbial metabolites — which may have benefits for digestive and overall gut health.

So, that little white patch doesn’t necessarily mean your haylage has gone bad. In fact, the yeast may be contributing to a healthy digestive environment.

⚠️ Colour matters: green, blue, yellow or red mould can indicate a problem and should not be fed.

Sometimes what looks like mould isn’t the bad guy after all! 🌱🐴

✨ WELCOME TO TEAM MANUKA, ISABELLA BROWN! ✨

We’re very excited to welcome local Quirindi rider Isabella Brown as our newest Manuka Ambassador! 🐴🌿

Isabella’s team of horses and ponies are proudly produced on Manuka Chaff & Haylage, and we’re thrilled to have a local rider who shares our passion for happy, healthy horses representing Team Manuka.

“I love Manuka Chaff for its dust-free aspect, how easy it is to store and feed, and the easily identifiable coloured bags.

Manuka Haylage is also a staple in my horses’ diets thanks to its low sugar content, high digestible energy and ability to help meet their roughage needs while providing great nutritional value.

One of the things I love most about Manuka is that it’s a local, family-run business striving to keep horses happy and healthy. While feeding my team premium products, I also get to support a local business in my hometown that shares the same values as I do.

I’m super excited to be a part of Team Manuka and can’t wait to see where this journey leads!” — Isabella Brown

We can’t wait to have Isabella and her team along for the journey. 💚

Welcome to Team Manuka, Isabella! 🐎✨
