Every vegetable trimming, herb stem and garden clipping from across the estate is returned to our compost system, creating a true closed-loop cycle. Months of careful layering, turning and nurturing transform kitchen and garden waste into rich, living compost that nourishes the next season’s harvest.

BEST CHARDONNAY IN AUSTRALIA.

The 2019 Tuerong Chardonnay isn’t just one of our favourites. It was awarded Best Chardonnay in Australia at the 2021 James Halliday Chardonnay Challenge.

Grown on our Tuerong vineyard on the Mornington Peninsula, this single-vineyard Chardonnay shows layers of preserved lemon, white florals and citrus, with a palate that’s juicy, textured and beautifully persistent.

FROM ANTARCTICA TO THE MORNINGTON PENINSULA

‘Artist to Antarctica’by New Zealand sculptor Hannah Kidd brings the frozen landscape into conversation with the wetlands, vines and open skies of Montalto.

Created from hand-welded steel mesh with paint and mixed media, the life-sized figure appears mid-stride, reflecting Kidd’s experience of walking, observing and documenting the extreme conditions of Antarctica.
