We’ve been reflecting on the Pinot Noirs on pour this weekend and found photos from these vintages and a few reviews.

John’s notes from 2009 - “overripe.” Not his favourite year. James Halliday gave it 93 points.

The 2014 was cold, wet and windy. Scrappy bunches, small berries. John wasn’t sure what they had. Halliday wrote that it would “mature very well indeed.” That was over ten years ago.

That’s half the fun. You don’t always know what you have until time does its work.

Come taste them side by side and make your own notes! We’d love to see you.

Sat 6th and Sund 7th, 12-5pm. Call, email or DM to book.

Something special for the upcoming King’s Birthday weekend.

We’re pulling Pinot Noir from the cellar - 2009, 2010 and 2014, poured side by side so you can taste how much age and different seasons can change a wine.

Following on from our aged Chardonnay flights earlier this year that received great feedback, we wanted to do the same with Pinot. We think you’ll enjoy them.

Tasting flight $10 · Sipping flight $25 for a more generous pour. Our usual cellar door tasting is available too. We’ll also offer a simple snack menu to accompany slower sips, featuring and a few good things.

Limited quantities of these older vintages available to purchase by the bottle.

Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 June, 12-5pm. Bookings preferred, walk-ins always welcome. Call, email or DM to grab a spot. 03 5989 2045

Looking forward to sharing these wines with you!

Our last vintage Chardonnay flight went down really well, so we’re doing it again this weekend with a new set of bottles. This time it’s the 2007, 2009 and 2012, poured side by side so you can taste how the years differ. $10 add-on to your usual tasting.
The sun is out, the autumn colour is lovely and we’d love to see you!

Straight to the digital pool room 🥰 Will John & Julie be seeing you this weekend? Open 12-5pm today and tomorrow.

A little something different this weekend - we’re pouring three older vintages of our Chardonnay side by side. 2010, 2013, 2019. Same vines, different years. It’s a fun way to taste how much a season and age can change a wine.
$15 add-on to our usual tasting lineup.
This weekend only!

This Labour Day long weekend we’re opening something special.

Our 2019 Chardonnay will be back on pour - a wine that’s usually only available by the bottle and hasn’t been opened for tastings in some time.

A chance to try the 2019 again while it’s open!

Open Saturday & Sunday (closed Monday).
See you at cellar door.

Introducing our 2025 Selwyns Fault Rosé.
Now pouring at Cellar Door, our Pinot Noir Rosé is a fruit-forward wine made for easy drinking - and perfectly suited to hot summer days. This also marks our final Myrtaceae vintage and wine release.

After 22 years of welcoming visitors, the next 12 months will be our last with the Myrtaceae cellar door open. John and Julie will be retiring, and we’d love to welcome you in before we wrap things up. We’ll be marking this milestone with a few simple things along the way - watch this space.

In the meantime, stop by for a tasting and stock up on your favourites! As always, open weekend and we're happy to arrange orders via phone, email or socials.
