Specialty Cakes available to order are:

Classic Vegan Beesting: A large 24cm round that serves 14 -16 slices. A beautiful vegan version of the classic pastry cake, filled with custard crème and topped with Almond candy. $70

Vegan Pear Flan: A large 3layer 24cm round, serves 14 – 16 slices. Bottom layer is a delightful coconut biscuit base that supports a custard centre and a beautifully presented pear topping with flaked almond edging. $70

Vegan Morello Cherry Flan: A large 3layer 24cm round, serves 14-16 slices. Bottom layer is a beautiful coconut biscuit base that supports a custard centre and topped with Morello cherries and a coconut trim. $70

Vegan & Gluten Free Chocolate Cake with Shiny Glaze and Buttercream Rosettes.
This is the amazing chocolate gluten free cake that was extremely popular in the shop. It is a high ingredient cake due to it’s no rise during baking and it is heavy in weight. It is perfectly moist offering a fudgy mud cake taste with a beautiful chocolate flavour that is not too rich. The top is covered with a shiny chocolate glaze that compliments the cake flavour and decorations are made from buttercream. It is 20cm round, approx. 5-6cm high and serves 14 slices very generously or 16-18 people at 3.5cm -4.5cm wide slices. $90.00

Hi Everybody that might be still out there 
I can’t believe that 3 and a half years have passed by since I returned to my responsibilities at home.
I just wished to reconnect here today to say hi to you and let you know an update.
I spent 3 ½ years out in the country and during that time my youngest daughter made her way through her senior years of high school. My last year spent staying out there was purely for my dear dog friend Noah. We spent that year together allowing him to grow old in a lovely environment and with myself offering full time care until he parted ways with me.
My last child is on her feet out in the world, I have no animal friends at home now either and I have moved back towards the city of Brisbane where I am living in a little unit with my hubby Adam.
I’m going to be 50 this year and find myself considering how does one return to the work place environment after spending so many years in service to the raising of family, but I am excited to find out how.
Since arriving back in the city areas I have had expressions of interest in my cakes from people that know I am here and yes, I still love to make them so much.
So, I am just letting you know on here today that from next week I am happy to take casual cake orders for anyone who is happy to order and collect from me.
I won’t be offering a large range like before but a couple of the old favourites that people seem to be missing. Pear Flans, Beestings and the Amazing Chocolate cake.
I will put a second post up sometime over the next 24 hours explaining the size and cost of cakes on offer and see what happens, it might just be a nice new beginning of something.

Hi friends, i haven't posted to this awesome little page since our shop closed but tonight i would like to use it as a tool.
Vegan's in Toowoomba are rallying to put up a Vegan Billboard which will stay up for 3 months over the Christmas period.
I am unsure how many people this page reaches now but am hoping if you see this post you will help us share this message around and help rally for funds for this Vegan Sign.

I was learning how to Love myself.
A girl who had never received guidance and who had to survive in life very much alone from a tender young age. Always striving to be better than the things I had been shown and taught, I spent the first 30 years of my life just learning the basics on how to live, and how to be the best wife and mum I could be as that was my chosen path.
Still I carried pain inside no matter how hard I tried and then one day I thought “what if”, just “what if” I started to think and do the opposite to everything I had ever seen or learned or known.
As my search inside myself deepened my heart expanded and the love I thought I had for my husband and children turned out to be nothing compared to the unconditional love that was being revealed, then that love expanded even more and it began to search and it found the animals.
A whole new world opened up to me. I had never read books or knew about vegan-ism, I just listened to my body and I began to notice that the days I never ate meat I felt lighter in my body and happier in my mind. As I was more drawn to this new state of living all animal products began to leave me naturally. Somebody else actually pointed out to me that I was a vegetarian before I really knew what that meant.
So my journey started with me, my need for wellness, my need for happiness and my need for love.
I am happy to say though that I was just the starting point that was needed to begin this vegan journey. It will take you far beyond yourself and these immediate benefits and it will bring you so much closer to all life around you.
We do not need to believe that we have to eat animals to live well, as it is simply not the truth. Please try being vegan and know in your heart that you will not be contributing to the painful slaughter and sadness that these magnificent animals are put through to be renamed as meat.
I realized I could never be truly happy or have real wellness or love myself wholeheartedly until I could offer these same things to all other living beings, animals included.
I encourage everyone on the planet to give vegan a go in 2015.
Peace on our plates brings Peace to our Hearts and our Conscience.
As a vegan I was given an opportunity to be up close with a magnificent cow and as I looked deep into his eyes and he looked deep into mine, in that moment, I knew that he knew that I would never bring him harm in any way and he blessed me with his unconditional love.
Being Vegan brings so many blessings into your life and I wish for those blessings to be all yours in 2015 and beyond.

Hi Everyone, It’s Trace here. I wish to apologise to anyone that has either tried to call or to anyone that has travelled to our shop only to find it closed over the past week. The days of late have been very trying. I always say Change is Good & I Love change, sometimes the pain associated with it can be so brutal physically & emotionally but it is always happening for our most highest good, deep down of this I am always sure.
Our shop has been speaking to me for some months that it struggles in our location to rise up and be supportive enough for me to receive the physical help I need to operate. It stopped speaking a week ago and started shoving, giving me a final call that I cannot push aside anymore.
I wish that I could break this news slowly to you all over a few weeks so that I may have the opportunity to nurture & hug all of your immediate disappointments from you, but alas I am also given no choice to do this for myself.
I am not able re open the Peace Pies doors at shop 2/140 Sutton Street in Redcliffe.
I wish for you to know most sincerely that we have not failed in any way but honestly against all odds the success runs so deep. With your support together we have performed amazingly to share Love through Vegan Living.
I could not personally have been any more diligent, or worked any harder than I have, forsaking personal life, health & family. I could not have learned any faster and I come away from this feeling absolutely clear in the knowledge that I have not one single regret because I have always done and given my absolute at all times. I am very proud of us all, and I don’t want any one of you beginning to think you could have done more. It is always perfectly so just the way it is.
On a business level I am very proud of myself and my ability to learn so fast while owning, operating and cooking for this business at the same time. In the business world a strong Vegan foundation rests where there was none before.
Our location is the only thing that has let us down.
The closure of these doors brings an overwhelming freedom to see the new and exciting opportunities that can be in Peace Pies future.
I wish you are all filled with unconditional understanding at this time

Thank you all for your kind thoughts & understanding as Tracey takes a much needed & well deserved break from work. Unfortunately as she is the sole operator & cook for Peace Pies, we are unable to open the doors for trade while Tracey is away. We deeply & sincerely apologise to anyone affected by this.
